ACecil,
Glad to hear you and the 100 were out with the monster sweeper. I am sure you were enjoying the ride :biggrin2.gif:

I worked on the 169 a little, adjusted the tension on the hydro lever just a tad, like we were talking about the other nite. I like it a little on the loose side.

ACecil 08-19-2009 02:49 PM

Thanks Diz! I had a great time. :beerchug:

Glad you got your hydro lever the way you wanted it.

mharrison 08-19-2009 11:23 PM

well today i repaint the 126. since it's going to be a puller i wanted something alittle different but then something kinda stock. i kept the white hood and dash, but painted the rest bright red. it turned out pretty good, still need to clearcoat it. i'll get some pics tomorrow.

ACecil 08-19-2009 11:30 PM

Looking forward to your pics, mharrison!

Diz Jr. 08-20-2009 12:13 AM

Hey mharrison,

Sounds like you have been busy, cant wait for the pictures.

mharrison 08-20-2009 10:51 AM

here's the pictures of my 126 and i thought i would share my other project with you. i know it's orange, but it was my uncle's who passed away in may. so it holds some sentimental value.

mharrison,

Your 126 looks cool! Your uncle's Allis looks nice, as well. Good luck, with them both. :beerchug:

RPalmer 08-20-2009 05:36 PM

mharrison,
Looks good. Are you going to blacken the foot rests? Nice job.:beerchug:

papaglide 08-20-2009 05:44 PM

the 126 looks good.:beerchug:! The A-C looks decent. Is it a runner? Nice story behind her.

Diz Jr. 08-20-2009 07:13 PM

mharrison,
Great job on the 126

papaglide 08-20-2009 09:37 PM

well today I fired up the 1862 and did what I bought her for, cuttin grass. Yeah I know BORING>:Snooze:

Diz Jr. 08-20-2009 10:53 PM

Not boring at all papaglide. I love mowing grass :biggrin2.gif: You got to get us a picture of you mowing with the 1862 :High5:

I checked the timing on the 149 and 169 tonite using a ohm meter like was discussed on another thread. Looks real close. I want to check with a light now that i have found all the timing marks.

ACecil 08-20-2009 11:09 PM

Good deal, papaglide! Seat time, is seat time. No matter what you are doing. :beerchug:

mharrison 08-20-2009 11:23 PM

thanks everyone for the kind words.

reply to RPalmer: i plan to use undercoating on the foot rest, so they won't scratch as easy.

reply to papaglide: the AC was my uncles "parts tractor" and didn't have a motor. i found a 18hp kohler for her. i'm planning on restoring her in memory of my uncle. so currenty it doesn't run.

ACecil 08-22-2009 06:47 PM

My wife and I, cleaned around the fence line today. Mowed the grass earlier. I'll have some sweeping to do next week. :beerchug:

papaglide 08-22-2009 07:41 PM

ACecil nice lid! Because of that I had to spend more money and get one for myself!!:beerchug: Also, LOVE that NO.2 CART (and tractor)!!!!

mharrison: that is one of the best reasons to get an ole' one running!!!:beerchug:

Diz Jr.:I'll admit it....I love cuttin' grass too!!:beerchug: I'm sure that if I had a crappy tractor it would SUCK though!!

ACecil 08-22-2009 08:46 PM

Thanks guys! :beerchug:

Diz Jr. 08-23-2009 12:06 AM

You and the 100 looking good with your new trailer :IH Trusted Hand:

I picked up a blade for the 129. Just in case my 104 somehow won't do what I want. Like move a blade full of wet snow without breaking traction. I know that with variable speed once I get it moving all I have to do is increase my speed.

I hope my old scout master is proud. "Be prepaired" and everything else.:biggrin2.gif:

ACecil 09-01-2009 01:43 PM

Nice 129 and blade RPalmer!

RPalmer 09-01-2009 06:32 PM

ACecil
Thanks. I'm not sure what I'm going to run rubber wise. So I left the chains off for now. I picked up the blade from a nice guy a couple of hours away. He has a 1450 that I was actually looking at. I never thought I'd be interested in a Quiet Line but that hydraulic lift was drawing me in.:biggrin2.gif: And it having a 3 point wasn't hurting his chances of selling it either.:biggrin2.gif:

Garden work

It was such a nice day here today that I figured that it would be a good time for me to clear out the garden and plow it up. I got out the old 124 and finally had a chance to play with the Brinly plow that I bought a couple weeks ago.
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...d/124_plow.jpg

ACecil 09-02-2009 05:52 PM

Nice pic, CBH! Looks like the 124 did a great job. :beerchug:

RPalmer 09-02-2009 08:05 PM

CBH,
Nice set up. It looks like your new plow is doing it's job. It also looks like some monster wheel weights you have there.

Diz Jr. 09-02-2009 09:35 PM

ACecil, What trailer did you use? :biggrin2.gif:

CBH, Nice work with the 124 and the plow:ThumbsUp:

ACecil 09-02-2009 11:37 PM

Diz Jr. 09-03-2009 07:34 AM

ACecil, Thats what i figured. But i just wanted to check :HeeHee:

ACecil 09-03-2009 02:17 PM

Diz, you know me too well. :biggrin2.gif:

aagitch 09-05-2009 04:27 PM

I finally decided to pull the fender assy from the 782 and do some work on the hydro trunnion. It already had new springs and the trunnion itself was in new condition but it was still lazy on hills and plowing. I installed shims on the trunnion plate and cam plate. They were both sloppy. I also installed a 1/4 washer on each guide pin for the springs. What a huge difference. I don't have to touch the hydro control on the hills. Not even a pretty steep one I have. It's nice and tight. I love inexpensive upgrades that have awesome results

RPalmer 09-05-2009 05:48 PM

aagitch, If I ever have to make that repair that's the way I'm going to go.

ACecil,
I'm curious. How wide is the rear of your Cub from the outside of one tire to the outside of the other side? I like the look and I'm wondering if a set-up like that will run a front blade to push snow or if the track is too wide.

ACecil 09-05-2009 08:37 PM

RPalmer: The rear of my 100 is 45" wide.

I got some seat time in today. Here's some pics.
