Dang it Duke ! I have been waiting all day to see what you had dug up with your new loader! I bet you just didnt take any pics... :bash:

Methos 03-27-2011 11:04 PM

I spent some time this weekend putting the rebuilt K301AQS in the 1200. Feeling a bit under the weather wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. I've got it running again but the timing is off. Got to find my VOM in my cleaned up garage. Maybe it's with the lifting rod for my 1200.:bash2: I'm going to wait until I feel better before I finish it up. Just not much fun being in the shop when you don't feel good.

I took some pics but didn't get that many. I want to replace my tins on the engine mine look like :Swear:. No pics of the engine until I replace tins. Need a new dipstick mine got broke in the crate. Had the engine fall and bend some cooling fins on the head.:bash2::bash2: Like I said wasn't that much fun in the shop when you don't feel good.

Thanks to Allen and Jude for listening to me :Rant::Rant: and :Swear::Swear::Swear: thru this progress. I know it'll be worth it once it's done.

william1041200 03-27-2011 11:19 PM

Once again, I appreciate the compliments guys. Feels good knowing you guys like my work painting in the cold wind and just suffering from my addiction! If I had a weather vane, it would need new bearings in it.

Duke- Hope you feel better! Next weekend should be really nice and this post should blow up!! :biggrin2:

I got to use my 2072 for the first time

Hello all. I finally got to use my 2072. my uncle needed his yard leveled out
so i used the snow/dirt blade. It worked really well and pushed the dirt with ease. I love these tractors. Sorry but no pics forgot the camra today.:beerchug:

Took the kids for a ride today. I even got my wife to make a round in the yard. Thats a big deal since she has no interest in cubs or driving them. Maybe I can get her to catch a little yellow fever to. One baby step at a time.:biggrin2:

Diz Jr. 03-28-2011 10:44 PM

Great pictures of you and the family

ACecil 03-28-2011 11:38 PM

I finally got around to replacing the driveshaft coupling and flex discs. I can't believe how smooth it is now. I couldn't even tell it was spinning. Before it had a bad wobble. Here's a pic of it spinning.

hjsmith00843 03-29-2011 07:47 PM

I cut the pto shaft off of my motor and moved my battery just infront of my motor. Should have quite a bit more weight down lower and more up front now.

_DX3_ 03-29-2011 09:34 PM

A very good day today. I put the deck on the 784 and mowed for the first time this year. WOW, I can't get over how smooth that thing is and how quiet the deck is. Adrian does great work and upkeep on his equipment. If he sells something and you have the chance to buy it, DO IT! :) Had a big ole smile all day while mowing.

william1041200 03-29-2011 10:07 PM

Lucky! I can't wait to mow!! :bash2:

Diz Jr. 03-30-2011 06:56 AM

Nice work!
Looks smooth in the picture :beerchug:

Glad to hear someone is mowing.
My grass is getting a little green but not growing much yet.
Wont be long though :biggrin2:

New muffler

I picked up a brand spanking new muffler for the 20hp Magnum in the 2072 today for $30 and the PO is mailing me the plastic hood ornament he had bought for it when he owned it. Those things are like $50 on Ebay!!! The spouse works all weekend so I am secluding myself in the shed and getting her sorted out a bit. (the tractor, not the wife) The turning brakes need some attention. Anyone ever try modifying Chevy S-10 brake pads on a Super?

Matt G. 03-30-2011 07:28 PM

S-10 brake pads are about twice the thickness of the CC pads and not even close to the same shape. Get some material from McMaster-Carr and re-line the ones you already have.

william1041200 03-30-2011 08:54 PM

Matt, are the pads glued on or riveted? I would like to give it a go making my own pads. :bigthink:

william1041200 03-30-2011 08:59 PM

Finally Split my 107

Pics for all to see my triumphant moment:

first is the frame and hydro rear
Check out the perfect metal fan
Im thinking that the oil filter was installed at the factory. It does have perfect paint, though. but I have seen no signs of maintenance on this 107.
Hope hydro cleans up as nice as the oil filter!!

Matt G. 03-30-2011 09:38 PM

I want to say some are glued and some are riveted. BTW, that can't be the original filter on the 107, as it has a CCC part number on it.

william1041200 03-30-2011 10:31 PM

Matt- Thats great news! The trans filter i mean. When I get it bolted to the new frame, i will be opening it up to see the truth, but I am sure it will be operable after a little work. It is the hydro rear I have been going on about, and has the external brakes, so the MMC friction material is a great lead too!

Wild bill : Hang in there- Winter has to give up sometime!! :beerchug:

I took the QA42A off of the 1450, and have it ready to do some maintenance.

I then hooked up the #2 tiller, and was ready to fire up the 1450 and till the garden, when my neighbor hollered at me. After yacking for a while, it was dark.

All day I figured I was going to till tonight, but it snowed some this afternoon   , even though we didn't get 1/4", now the ground is 'wet' again :bash2:

Darn that snow! Maybe you need to talk to the neighbor again until it drys out again.:biggrin2: At least your getting ready for spring!

Elephants1772 03-30-2011 11:54 PM

Well, I ordered a new Key Switch for my 1772

Should be in by next tuesday, so that's good.

That should solve my problems of the Glow Plugs not working.. Since they only work when I jiggle the key in the right spot. :D

Thanks
Cody
