Poor old deck is getting a little worn out :crap:

Allot of work Jonathan, and looks good but primer won't stop rust.

Looks good! Did you wire brush it, or chemically treat it? Your 1811 deck has non-adjustable gauge wheels, I take it that design is for a floating deck?

I believe my 1810 has an incorrect deck mounted on it (a 46" model 331)with adjustable wheels. The wheels are fighting the intended (?) floating arrangement, digging up the sod on turns?

All cadet decks "float". I just wire brushed it. The gauge wheels are adjustable. There are different holes you can bolt them in to. The deck is a 50". If your gauge wheels are tearing up the yard, take the weight off of them. They really aren't intended to carry the full load of the deck. Raise the wheels and put some load on the sub-frame. :beerchug:

Thanks Todd! Yeah, I know. Maybe it'l slow it down though.... and maybe keep the grass from sticking to it so bad now that it's smooth. :biggrin2: I was going to put some black Rustoleum on it too, but didn't want to wait for it to dry  ......... then it rained. :bash2::bash2:

I'll thank Allen too to save a post. Thanks Allen! :beerchug: To you both!

Got some seat time on the 782 and 1872 today. Swept the yard with the 782 and lawn sweeper. Then hauled the 1872's old turf tires and the rims my ags for the 1872 came on to the truck for Jenn. Sold them on Ebay! :beerchug:

Thanks Jonathan! I have my grandpa's cart, but the #2 cart was easier to get to...lol.

Didn't realize this pic was taken but I guess it works :biggrin2: Got all the Cubs out and got some good wrench time in. Changed the oil and filter in the 1330 and replaced a deck hanger nut that apparently had fallen off, used the 1050 as a jumper for 127, and replaced the solenoid on the 127 as well as started the long process of replacing the wiring harness. Also pulled the back wheels off and adjusted/checked the brakes, fixed the choke cable clip, and adjusted the throttle cable. Tried to pull the dash top of the tower off but the flat head screws were so rusted I accidently broke one off (after soaking repeatedly in PB Blaster :bash2:). Then ended the day with a short cruise with the g/f and a friend on all three. Was a good day!:beerchug:
