The tire fairy showed up today so I didn't waste anytime putting on the
V61's. I love these things. Also mowed the front lawn this evening. |
I love those new V's Adrian... ermmm what happened to the upright exhaust? :bigthink:

O, that is next weekend. Dang time goes by quick. I will do my best to go. I really want to make sure I have the plow set right now. In response to a post you made not here, I had a long discussion with Red, to see if she was homesick. Seemed to be very happy with her new family. Gets rubbed on all the time and goes to bed with sheets over her. :biggrin2: What time do you plan on leaving?

Past two days I've spread 1200 lbs of lime on my yard. Used the 125 to do it all. Evan used the plow to turn over the garden beds. He loves to plow! No pics! If I don't remind my wife to take pics not pics are taken.:bash2: |

I went and grabbed some turnbuckles and a draw bar for the back of the 682 and found time to start doing some spring clean up... Ton more come!! :beerchug: |
Well I took a trip down to butler KY and picked up a 582 special today. I was hoping for a IH built one but a CCC built one will have to do. I now have 6 of 8 models of red cub cadet. This one doesn't have a motor so I guess I'll just have to build a mag18 for it. I'll try to get pics of it later wehn it quits raining.

Was looking very overcast this morning, but figured I would try and get the yard mowed. Nice little breeze blowing made it comfortable. It is kind of interesting to notice the neighbors looking out the doors when I start mowing, LOL. Maybe they don't understand the big smile I have while doing the drudgery of mowing, hahahaha. At any rate a couple of pics of the finished yard. A storm and hail hit about 20 minutes after I finished up and had everything put away.

Nice pics of the 682 jaybrd!
I got the cubs out to play today. Even the 123 got to have some play time! :beerchug: |
Well the storms passed and sun is out and very warm out now. I knew I had a headlight not working, so inspected and found the electrical connector had come off of the bulb. Got some solder and fixed it back nice and tight. I also wanted to try and paint the front emblem. The front grille just looked bare with nothing on it or with the all black emblem on it. I know it is not correct for the model, but one day I'll run across the correct emblem. This one is the plastic body not the metal.
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...2/DSC01885.jpg Was still tacky, Will clean up the black edges later :). http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...2/DSC01887.jpg |
Awesome pics, guys! :beerchug:
My better half and I, got some seat time today! She's practicing for when she gets her own cub soon! Duke, these pics are for you, my friend! http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/r..._1287Small.jpg http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/r..._1288Small.jpg |

Great picture's guys! Everybody's been very busy. It's still very very wet here, but the front yard dried up enough today to do a little joy riding, :biggrin2:. Got the 782 running really good, the more it runs the better it get's. Got all the kids out but the first born, it will have to get alot dryer for it to come out from it's winter nap. My wife just stands on the deck and shakes her head at me. She asked me today, "now exactly how many of those do you need" I just smiled and said as many as I can get :biggrin2:. She just rolled her eye's and went back into the house. I don't know how you guy's would take that but I took it as an invitation to buy more :beer2:.

Looks really good! |
Thanks for the comments guys. The emblem isn't bad, just kind of rough on one side. Just did not want to take paint. I was hoping to try out my yard sweeper today, but the rain thought otherwise, LOL. I am sure it will be needed next time. At first I thought the 782 was a gas hog, but after mowing the yards twice with a full tank, it works out to a gallon an acre. Just as good as the singles do. I have just over 2 acres I mow.
Junior, I am drooling :)... awesome looking collection.. |
Jenn is smiling as big as Allen still is! Cant beat that :beerchug:.

I forgot to add what I did today. I went and got some top soil and put it in the new garden beds. I put the tiller back on the 125 and mixed the top soil and the red clay in real good. I did my neighbor behind me 3 garden beds but the soil was still wet and turned out clumpy so didn't do my neighbor next to me. Going to wait until they dry out in our nice weather we got coming to us to redo them.
I spoke to my neighbor at his father in-laws house about doing their garden. We all live in the same neighborhood. They have a large garden and would love that I would do their shared garden for them. It's 150 ft by 80 ft! I went down to neighbors to get started and tilled about 20 ft and the rain started.:bash2: The rain stopped but looked like it was going to start back up so I didn't try to go back to tilling. The father in-law stopped down and my house and we talked gardens and I showed him what I use to put in and maintain gardens. I showed him my newly tiled garden. I wanted to show me where he want me to play er work the cubs in his garden. I took Evan with me so he could see how big it was. After looking where I tilled already I wasn't going deep enough so I'm going to let Evan get some more plowing time in and then I'll hook the tiller up again and go over the freshly plowed garden beds. I told him doing think I'm crazy if he looks out and see's me smiling while I'm playing er working.:biggrin2: I don't charge my neighbors but I do let them pay for my gas while I work their gardens. I'm kinda hoping I get acouple more gardens to do.:biggrin2: No pics but I will bring my camera and get pics of all the gardens that I do so you can see how much fun I get to have! |

dang i love that 72 and disc!!!
it rained a little last night so i went out this morning and bladed the driveway with the 169 and brinly and hauled some class 5 in with the 86 and #2 cart. then i hooked the 1a tiller up the the 149. that should be ready to go pretty quick |
Great looking Ags Jeff. I would LOVE to see some close up pics of that disc set up. You have really got me wanting to do the same thing. I already have one gang of the newer style. I think another set of the early brinly style like you have and I could make it work.

I pretty much got my 782 done today. I just need to get my other set of wheels painted and buy tires for them. I'm waiting for my new seat to come in and the seat pan needs to get the cushions glued on. Other than that, it's done.
AJ |
The 782 is looking excellent!
|
I cut some grass today! Love that smell. Also, I put the hydro rear in the 104 frame. I stopped there, as I need new rockshafts for the pedal action. Soon Ill be putting the tower, and wheels and engine in.. exciting!!:biggrin2:
|
I completely rebuilt that tractor. I had the entire tractor powdercoated. I has a 3 turn steering coulmn that I rebuilt. All new hardware. New driveshaft. I added a rear lift to it. It's going to get 350-8 tri-ribs for the front and 23-10.50 tru-powers for the rears.
