I spray mine with silicone spray in winter. Helps a lot.

Forgot about that, I do not have a hydro lift on mine and have never used a cub hydro lift either. I have parked cub carefully (tight space) in the garage, turned it off, shut the fuel valve off, and hop off the tractor to then look at the blade only to realize there is a crap load of snow I really do not want in the garage on the blade. :bash2:

I am really loving these Tri-Rib front tires. What a difference steering in the snow.

You were right about those Tri-Rib front tires. I love them.

How do you guys tackle the snow with your blades? Do you keep the blade pointed straight and make a pass down the center of what you are clearing and then use the edge of your blade on either side to clear more? Or do you turn your blade to either side then push? I personally keep the blade straight and just work my way side to side. I dont care for getting on and off the tractor to adjust the blade and most of the time I am pushing the snow straight out from what I am plowing.

I have experienced loss of traction with my front tires too. I get plenty with my rear. Quite a few times today I had the front wheels cranked to either side, but they just slid as the rear wheels dug in the pushed me straight.

Depending on how deep the snow is , if its deep ( 8 inches plus ) I will plow stright and get most of it moved , then I will angle the blade and clean uo the rest . 8 0r less i angle plow . picture of last years snow
