hjsmith00843, that is VERY sweet looking!

hjsmith00843 04-21-2011 08:00 AM

Thanks. I have not had a chance to try it out since I converted it to meth. i think it will do very well when i change the cam and get the heavy steel flywheel installed.

i am installing one of those atwood cooling fans but I would like to do something I have not seen before. I want to put it through the top of the hood and have it pointing at the top of the head when the hood is closed.

On top of the hood I would like to install a small scoop over the hole to give it a more of a race look. lol.

Looks Nice

william1041200 04-21-2011 09:18 PM

I did a full tuneup and oil change on the 1200 today. Yesterday, I put on a new set of gator blades under the deck. I got a new coil, points, condensor, and timed it today. Now, I can mow at full throttle! Actually attemped the hydro changeover. it went real smooth! Now, I can put that 104 / 107 / 1811 combo together. Ill call it a great cub day.

hjsmith00843 04-21-2011 10:03 PM

Traded for some new to me front wheels. No more of that kart racing style wheels. http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/v...3/102_0794.jpg

mow season

Well Last night I put the 30 weight oil in and took the snow blade off, sharpened the 48" deck blades and installed the deck with a new belt and adjusted per book, then added the fresh wheel weights. Tried her out this morning and the deck works great and is super quiet, the motor does not bog down at all and runs great. This is the first time i had the deck working since I had it. Very excited to mow the lawn with it...........

:bigthink: You have to use weights on the plow? Am just curious is all.. :) It should pull itself down pretty easy if adjusted right. Of course I have no idea what the soil is like down that way either. :beerchug:

Well it was kind of wet and the rocks kept pushing the plow up and out of the ground, the only reason for the weights. Otherwise it does just fine! :beerchug:

riesedesperado6170 04-22-2011 09:13 PM

starting to look like a tractor again

Got the axles in the new frame of my super combo 982/1872 with luck it will be all together tomarrow, I hope

Sugarmaker 04-22-2011 10:37 PM

Charged batteries and fired up the 73 the 102 and moved them out of the shed.
Pulled the Argi-fab wagon over to the garage with the 73. Pumped up the tires on the 86 and it fired right up but is penned in by the 128 and a bunch of other projects.
Nice to get these Cubs out of storage. I think my son is going to take one of these to mow with while he rebuilds the engine in his 106.
The wagon which I painted Cub Yellow several years ago needs a sanding, some repairs, and a new coat of paint. I may do that this spring. Pulled all the wheels and removed the tires to replaced the dry rotted ones within the next week. I use this yo haul wood for the house. Of course The grand kids like to pull it around the yard too.

Regards,
Chris

I finally got around to pulling the rearend from my cc 100. i posted awhile back that i was having issues with the shifter spinning around. so i looked over the post from merk about fixing it so that's my current side project. after that's fixed i'll finish tearing down the 100 to paint and replace what is needed.

P.S. Thanks for posting your walkthrough Merk! It's very helpful.
