Josh I just read were you smacked your head pretty good I hate to hear that, it happens so fast, I know the feeling. A few years back my feet came out from under me (ice, no cocktails involved) I ended up getting knocked out woke up and passed out again, then I had no idea how to get home from where I was what a scary feeling. Needless to say the ambulance came and hauled me to the hospital found out I had a concussion. The whole deal pretty well knocked me for a loop for four days I hope you fared better then that. Be carful! When I finally snapped out of it I had this strange obsession to start buying cub cadets :bigthink: Anyway before I get moved to a different category LOL What I did to my cub today I started to pull panels to see what I might have missed when I bought my new to me 1872, things look real good except nearly every safety switch is bypassed no big deal Ill start hooking them up one at a time until something doesn't work then fix that I also went on to ebay and bought some used tail lights for $40.00 + shipping and bought all the heim joints for the steering. So all in all It was a good day with the super.

Hey Doug,
Yep, happened a week ago and still feeling the effects. Didn't get knocked out, but was dazed for a few minutes. Worse part now is the soreness in my neck and mid back. Tell ya what, when I cough, it hurts like h*ll. No cocktails involved on this end either. Just a handful of stuff and no way to brace the fall. I was buying cubs beforehand, so my wife hoped I would have the urge to NOT buy cubs. Nice try, didn't work. :biggrin2: Once again, congrats on the super find. Power steering is the cat's meow........... |
Finally finished up the lawn sweeping for the year. No pics this time.

Thanks guys!
I don't know about the famous part...lol. :beerchug: |
The 1872 is dead. I tried to start it today, after it died on me Sunday. It won't start at all, and now the starter is making a funny noise while turning over. Going to have some parts replaced, and be done with it.
