The 122 watched, it’s waiting for some engine work.

It made a nice winter wonderland though. That fence is the one I pulled the posts out with the 782 sleeve hitch, I posted about before.

I'm jealous Steve. Got two machine ready for snow duty and not a flake in sight.

power up and rotate

It's been some time since I've done anything to the 147. It has been assigned to snow throwing duties in which it has only been used twice. My neighbor keeps thanking me for warding off the snow with my readiness.

OK. Been brainstorming the electric lift situation and finally have my solution set in place and functioning. A YooLangDingDong linear actuator for lifting and a worm drive motor to rotate the chute. The actuator was modified for a 5" stroke as needed. Waiting on some plugs to finalize the electrical. I must admit that I miscalculated the speed of the motors. They are a bit on the slow side.

Here is my meager attempt at film making.

thx bugeye,
still looking for a joystick with a thumb switch that will allow operation for a sleeve hitch.

Through a local CL ad, I found a guy that has lots of GT parts, including IH Cub Cadet parts. The steering knuckles on my 123 were boogered up and cobbled together by the PO and I have finally fixed it all. The front left knuckle finally snapped early last Spring. It must have been bent and "formed" in the past. The CL guy got me an entire front axle, tie rod, and drag link for $35! I replaced all but the axle itself. It's all back together and working like new again! It will be good to be able to use it the garden this coming season!

I have never had a sleeve hitch for this tractor.... always used it with the tiller. Got a hitch from this same guy for $125! Some day I will remove the tiller and see how the hitch does.

Thank you. My one and only Cub Cadet. I like it a LOT!! Has a mower deck, too, but I only use the tractor in the garden with the tiller.

Early on when I first got the 123, I found out that the tiller was made nearby my hometown of Tulsa, in Claremore, OK. If I remember correctly, the shop owner was a relative of the Danhuser post hole digger people. They made an awesome tiller!

right angle gear drive

The right angle gear drive was locked on the QA42a that came with the 125. I thought the worst. It turned out that one of the outboard bearings was the culprit. Dug around in my box of tricks and found a R12 to replace it.

Had the hardest time finding the double aught lube at the TSC. The female associate and I had a big laugh because I wanted "corn hole" grease.

Love it when a plan comes together.
