Repainted the mower on the 128 for the tractor show.I can't wait to show it off in front of all the green lovers at the show!:biggrin2:I'll have some pic up my camera died.
|
Well today i give back the 123:Boohoo:The owner was very happy to get it and she said she cut grass with it 2mro.But now i can get the 73!:beerchug:
|
Got it stuck!
Should have gotten a pic, lol. Ground is so wet (we had over 11 inches of rain in April, normally we have 3-4) and grass was tall. I avoided the standing water but the ground was so saturated I sat there spinning on top of the ground. A little creative tugging and high-end acrobatics (to keep the seat switch from killing the engine) and I finally got it out. Glad I was wearing my wadin' boots! |
I made lots of cool tractor tread marks in the mud while mowing today.. hehehehe. At least I could tell which way I had gone. :biggrin2:
|
Our yard has had some major wet spots. The house next to me is up for rent and they're running a new sump pump line to the drain up by the road. For the time being they have a plastic pipe running above ground towards the drain but some of the water is going to the edge of our yard. I'm glad I have rear ags. The super looks like I've been mudding with it.
|
LOL. my neighbor thinks I'm nuts when I pull out the garden hose and chamois and get the 782 looking nice and sparkly again.

Fired up the smokin 73 and took it down to see the bee hives. That tractor steers very easy and is very tight (responsive) in the steering. Weather was just around 50 degrees and all the bees were in the boxes. Just made it back to the sugar house when it ran out of gas.:) I think it would look great with a big set of wide ag tires tucked under those round fenders. Hope to have the 147 home tomorrow after noon. Trying to decide if this one will go to Eric (son). He needs a mower. This tractor comes with a 48 inch deck and a spare damaged 42 inch deck and a front blade.
I know, I need to get some pictures posted too. Pulled a tire off the front of the 86 and took the tire off. Rim is a little rusty. wire brushed it and may try to put in a valve stem and buy some new skins for it. Regards, Chris |

Today I finished installing the spring assist on the 1250, put the plow on, then did some garden plowing.:buttrock::biggrin2:
Even with no weight, the 1250 did really well with it! |
That garden dirt looks real good. The plow and cub are making quick work of it. :beerchug:
|
I'll be turning mine by hand at some point this weekend. I was thinking about finding a plow to pull behind the cub real quick but I'd rather tough it out and use the money for a snow blade. It's one or the other right now. Cub fund is not doing too hot. :)
|
Nice pics, Conner! The 1250 did a sweet job! :beerchug:
|
He's got a huge garden too!
I turned my garden over today after mowing the weeds and remains of last years plants down with the 1450 as low as it would cut. My little plot is 2 railroad ties wide by one railroad tie deep, so it only took about an hour to turn over. I guess getting a plow would really have been overkill, I would have been tempted to dig up the rest of the yard. :) |

Thanks guys, I am really happy with how it did.
And its a family member's garden, not mine. I just plowed it for them. |
I mowed, I mowed, I mowed, I mowed!!!!!!! New carb and the Super is running well for a change! Yee Haw!
|
Glad to hear it squatch
Been doing a lot of mowing with the 149 myself:biggrin2: |
I probably should have said bush hogged. Only the second mowing this year and the grass was deep. Been fighting probs with the tractor since last season. These have kept me from mowing. I normally don't get real excited about mowing grass.

Good looking 128! :beerchug:

Lovin those pics of the 128 man! The hubcaps really set it off.
Oh yeah, I cut my yard with my 1978 1450 today. I was enjoying the seat time so I cut in back and forth passes instead of big round paths like usual. Trying to mix up my cuts so the grass grows in a little thicker in spots. I need to adjust my deck height up a hair though, I have been cutting a bit too short so far this season. |
I took my cub down to the beach and picked up a trailer full of sand for my sidewalk stonework, and then i cut grass. I think the cub loved working. :biggrin2:
|
Thanks for all the comments guys! It will be cutting grass again soon.
|
Mowed tonight with the 127 and the tag mowers. Had to work on tag mower number 1 it hit a root and damaged the starter recoil, kind of weird! Need to find some more 22 inch push mowers for spares.
Regards, Chris |
I've been getting in some regular mowing between rain showers.
This 104 is a mowing beast! I love it - I get done in an hour what used to take 2 w/ the ol' MTD. The cut quality is SO superior to my old mower and it takes the slopes and rough terrain I have here in stride! I've been fighting the mule drive belt flipping off on a regular basis - The mule drive is pretty chewed up around the tensioning pulleys and although I did some major building up of worn areas with my welder, it still isn't close to being true. After fiddling with the deck level and lots of back and forth on the adjustment it's working well now. I think I'll be able to get through this season OK and I'm repairing/replacing things as they're needed. I now consider myself an official Cub Cadet Convert! |
My 782 and I had a great day of mowing and sweeping. Supposed to rain for the next several days possibly so wanted to actually mow dry grass for once. I really like the sweeper. That is sweet.

The yard looks great! Glad the weather is cooperating with you, if only for one day.
Forecast is looking wet here over the next days as well. |

Great looking yard, 782 and sweeper, DWayne! I'm looking forward to using my sweeper later on! :beerchug:

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I love a good looking yard and try to keep it up as best as I can. A little over 2 acres to mow. I am just glad the neighbors yard didn't show up in the pics. Just pisses me off it looks like a hay field. It hasn't been mowed once this year yet. Grrrrrr.. but I digress... sorry. Had to vent. :)
|
Looks great Dwayne! Very nice yard. 782 loo great with the sweeper behind it. I need to get my sweeper fixed.

I put a new seat on the 126 and tried out the refurbished 42" cast end deck. I picked up the seat at TSC. It's a steel seat and I got it for the price of the plastic seats they sell because it had no label or markings on it whatsoever. I did have to make an adapter plate to mount it since it didn't have the right bolt pattern.
http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/seat001.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/seat002.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/seat003.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/seat004.jpg I added a belt guide to my deck to hopefully prevent the PTO belt from flying off of the deck like it has in the past. It's simply a piece of 1/8" steel and a 5/16" bolt with the head cut off held to the plate with a couple of jam nuts. http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/seat005.jpg |
Looks good, Adam!
