Started the boy on learning to run a snow blower. Doing well so far :-) We got a few inches of snow so he and I cleaned a few driveways.
Darn thing is eating belts so need to look at my alignment closer. Oh, He only runs enough throttle to clear the blower which is why it is not throwing much. |
Nice pics! :beerchug:

I pulled my cadet out of the barn to attach a brinley grader box I purchased yesterday. It suddenly stopped. Engine was running fine, but I had no forward or reverse when moving the lever. Popped the tunnel cover off and saw that the coupler was spinning on the hydrostatic transmission shaft. I thought the splines on the shaft were gone and panicked when I saw that the shafts cost over $500!
Pulled it apart and fortunately the splines on the shaft were in OK shape, but the coupler splines were gone all except for a few tiny stubs. How in the world could this happen? Found a used one from one of this forum's parts suppliers (Patton Acres) for $60. Painful, but not as bad as it could have been. |
Very common. I suggest that you buy another and keep it in stock while you can find them.

This 2072 sure had a lot of problems that weren't obvious when I picked it up. Hopefully I can get them all worked out before the first cutting of grass. BTW, nice looking cubs in the pic above! |
Got the snow team out yesterday!
Got a little wood in and a little snow blown.
