Looking better all the time! Glad you got some shop time in today. According to the weather man really cold weather is headed this way--lower teens end of the week, maybe some white stuff.

Yep winter is on the way. I'll play with the 1864 between cold snaps. Once the engine is out it will get another bath then I'll get into the stuff that it needs. So far looks like an easy one to fix up compared to some of the others I've done. Paint is decent so I may skip that at least for now. No reason to pull the rear out so I'll just pop the axles out and use a suction gun to get the water out of the tubes, slap a new set of axles seals in it and a set of GT braces and call it a day. I'll probably do a volt meter and oil pressure gauge, clean and pack the CV joint for the steering and re wire it. It's getting a CH22 that only has 25 hours on it and a new Xtreme PTO. Think this one was well cared for, every bolt has come out with no problems. :beerchug:

Lew

I have a washer setup in the basement so it makes it easy to just run a hose out side to the washer. The washer is an old Northern Hydraulics before they became Northern Tool washer that had an 8hp Tecumseh engine on it. It was always a PITA to start, local guy wanted a cheap engine for a log splitter and I had the 16 Vanguard out of a Cub so we now have a killer pressure washer. It rocks! :beerchug:

I did some more washing on the 169s today too.

Sam I know you've shared some specs on that but how about refreshing our memory of the cub r washer. Is that a vanguard and a cat pump?

Engine is a 16hp Vanguard out of a 1641 that had problems, pump is from Annovi Reverberi or AR for short. The pump is probably 20 years old. Still easy to get parts for it. I put a new set of valves in it and it works like new.
