Today i pulled the engine out of the 1812 to put a new mag in it. It was hard to pull it because of the duel hydros.Sorry no pics my camera died:angry:.
|
Got some seat time in today, with the 122 and lawn sweeper.

Looking good Allen. I noticed that the plastic fabric on my grass hopper is starting to pull apart from the hard plastic bottom in one spot. Checked the Agri-Fab site and can get the complete hopper for about $60+shipping. May have to get one next year.
|
Looking good on the 122 ACecil
Cool picture, You can see the leaves flinging into the hopper :biggrin2: |
Looking good Allen! I'm still waiting on parts for the 1812 so i put duel wheels on it so i can cut my hills. I can't wait to try them out the wheel base it 56 inchs now!:beer2: I get pics up soon

put my fender back on the 1811 and gave it a wash along with putting a new deck belt on the 50". Need to get some new hydro linkage parts. putting a new deck belt on the 1610 today too. then off to mowing.
|
The new to me IH rake.
Hooked this up on the 70 today and leveled out the driveway.Old flywheels helped to loosen up the gravel better.

Driveway
Lew I can send some of my Italian friends over to fix that driveway..... A bit of cement...... :)
|
Looks great Lew. That's another attachment to put on the someday list. :biggrin2:
|
Jason,
I think concrete would heave a bit up here the ground gets frozen solid like 30" in the winter. When I built my house I dug a footing for a porch in April and the ground was still frozen 36"down.And BTW I am an Italian and a mason... Eric it is available... |
That extra 150 miles is getting shorter Lew, LOL. Maybe I can talk Mike into riding out with me in a couple weeks and he can take a few things off your hands to!!!
|
The sweeper...
Well I had to try it out.Cut the grass with the 123 and the sweeper in tow after about 3/4 done cutting. This was cool but when I was 12 we had a Parker sweeper that was self propelled by a 2 1/2 hp Briggs. My brother and I used to take turns riding in the bag down the street...

Over the weekend, I painted the 3-point and sleeve hitch adapter on the 126 and painted the front roller I made for my 42" cast end deck.
http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...et/126rear.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...deckroller.jpg I also decided to make a sleeve hitch mount for my fertilizer/ salt spreader. It's just mocked up in the pic. http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/spreader.jpg |
Nice work IHinIN
|
Fantastic job, Adam! :beerchug:
|
I love the fertilizer spreader on the Brinly IHinIN!! I've always wanted to make something like that but I haven't gotten around to it. Call me stupid if I'm missing something but I couldn't tell how you're gonna run it. Will it still be ground drive? I might see if I can rig up something like that.
|
I am betting he does an electric motor to engage the thrower. I have seen a few done like that. Very nice and easy to do. I would like to make a bracket like that to fit an electric sprayer onto. Would be much easier to spray all of my fence lines like that.
|
Looking good, Adam!
|
Thanks guys.
I'll be using a motor and gearbox from a cordless drill to run the spreader. When I first built the spreader, I mounted the motor underneath. That was a mistake though because the salt draws moisture and it ran down inside the gearbox and rusted the gears together. This time the motor will be on the top. I also have a rheostat I'll be wiring to the motor to control the speed of the spreader wheel. The motor I had before was too slow with the gearbox in low range and too fast in high range. |
Used the 102 to pull a wagon with honey supers down to the apairy and pulled off one super of honey. That is a nice running tractor.
Bought some parts for the new 147, choke cable, throttle cable assembly, front deck "eyes for 42 inch deck. and dowel pin for the drive shaft to engine refurb. Regards, Chris |
I got the 126 out and mowed today. I can't believe I mowed with a MTD Dispose-A-Mower for the last 11 years. So-long Huskee! It sure feels great to be back on an IH Cub.:IH Logo:
I got the frame for my spreader tack welded together. The lever for the trap door on the hopper is mounted. I'll make the drive shaft for the spreader wheel tomorrow and then figure out how to mount the motor above the hopper. Sorry, no pics today. |
Moved the 86, 102 and 127 out of the garage to provide room to work on the 147. Took the 86 down to the apairy to look for swarms. I think it may be to late now and they may not swarm again until August.
Pulled parts off the 147, and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more! Feeling better about this newest tractor As I gain knowledge about this from others and this forum:) Regards, Chris |
