I re-installed the muffler box that goes on the motor on Dustin's 800 today. Then... 1 thing led to another..Replaced the ISO mounts, bolted the starter wires, coil wires etc that needed fixed a little, bolted the muffler box and the components together, set the gap on the PTO clutch and now have it 75% ready to start.Hopefully a couple more work days and we can see how it operates. Too bad he didn't want to paint it up first...

well i finally got me some rattle can paint from TSC,got the inside of my frame painted, then today i ordered me a new seat and some other stuff like seat bumpers, carb. kit,tie rods, steering kit, battery hold down,etc....cant wait til my parts come but i need to get to painting but here its so cold even with heat in the garage the paint doesnt want to keep its shine,so i am trying to wait til it warms up just a bit, anyone have any ideas on the paint???

In my my experience, rattle can paint rarely dries shiny. Sometime it will look dull if you haven't applied enough. If you are painting in the cold, that isn't helping either. It needs to be at least about 60 degrees.

The valspar from TSC needs to be applied over a good quality primer and in warm temperatures otherwise it will turn out dull looking and blotchy. I took my time in warm temperatures with the 1811 hood/side panels and it turned out pretty shiny. The rims turned out shiny too.

yeah i know, its so hard to have a cub project in the winter,i think the humidity has alot to do with it as well

That's a really sharp 108. I used to have a 128 that looked almost that nice. It's hard to beat a nice, clean, original tractor.
