Dang you've been busy on that deck. I hope my 42" deck comes out half that good. :beerchug:

mharrison 07-05-2011 10:17 PM

Well i've made some progress on the 100. Tore the dash and motor off today and started wire wheeling it down to bare metal. Sorry about the clutter, garage is alittle packed right now.

m harrison
Looks like you have that mess under control.Keep us posted on the resto....

Wild Bill,
I like the before and after shots
That looks like a nice deck now, that roll pin is toast.I wonder if the one on my 108 is like that.Seems to have a lot of play on the lift handle.
As usual I cut the grass with the 123 with the 48" deck.I had to adjust the throttle cable as it was not running at WOT.Maybe next week I'll cut it with the 582...

Looks great, Bill! Mean lookin' Cub. I love pics of cubbies using their implements.

ACecil 07-06-2011 11:22 PM

Awesome pics, Bill! You did an excellent job on the deck and seat!

bocephus1991 07-07-2011 01:04 AM

Bill, what they said! Nice work on the deck:beerchug: And the 1450 is looking mighty fine too, seat looks great.

I've been busy working on the loader and started in on the last O' I picked up in NY. Got it stripped down and degreased, only a few more items to take off and will be ready for sanding. Did get the 8.5 Carlisle's I got months ago painted up yesterday and they came out very nicely. Will put them on the O' in a few weeks when she's done. Already have a full decal kit, for mower deck too.

mharrison: It looks like you have plenty of room :biggrin2: Sometimes it gets 'tight' when you have a CC torn completely apart!

Lew: Great looking 123, hard at work!

I was going to post before and after pics of the 1450's seat last night, but our ISP's tower was down :bash2:

Anyway, in this picture you can see the 1450's seat pan has the SMV decal, and plenty of rust.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...actors/rc3.jpg

And here is a picture of the same seat pan, sand blasted, primed, and painted with CASE/IH Ironguard 935 white....and the 50C mounted up, ready to give the yard a 'hair cut' :beerchug:

Sweet 1450! And great job on the deck! Got any more pics of the 1450? Kind of inspiring the build of mine. How well does it steer with the ags on the front?
Nice tractor Bill! :beerchug:

_DX3_ 07-10-2011 07:32 PM

You mean that good looking tractor is the same one sitting on the trailer at the car wash dirty and nasty and has not had a paint job? Sweeeeeeeet.

Methos 07-10-2011 09:15 PM

Great job Bill! The 1450 and deck turned out awesome! I love those wheel weights that it came with too!:beer2:

ACecil 07-10-2011 09:46 PM

Awesome pics, Bill! I remember seeing those great pics, many years ago. I still enjoy them, my friend! :beerchug:

Was able to get the reflectors on my 122 today thanks in part to Donny Curtis!

Thanks again, Donny. I think they definitely add to the look. Also purchased a 3 pt. sleeve hitch and adapter today and I'm waiting for them to arrive so I can paint em up and attach em!

Diz Jr. 07-14-2011 10:53 PM

As a fellow 122 owner I have to say, yours looks really nice. I was fortunate enough to still have the reflectors on mine, but had to straighten one of the brackets a bit.

I noticed, though... :bigthink: The plate that's hanging over the tranny plate, the one held on with 2 bolts, is supposed to be turned up so it tucks into the panel bolted between the fenders.

Found a set of weights for the 782D. Not as heavy as I would have liked but the price was fair. Just had to paint them red.

Joe the 782D and wheel weights look great! The IH wheel weights are 26 lbs each.

Your 782D and wheel weights look awesome, Joe!

terkaa 07-15-2011 04:22 PM

Today I hauled some sand with cart and used it as a bulldozer also(IH front blade). Yesterday I sandblasted and painted about 50% off white parts on tractor(rusted ones) and also replaced front tires with new AG's and also put new front wheel bearings and replaced plastic bushing on steering column with ball bearing. Mine is 1450. I am restoring it piece by piece. Next pieces are new head gasket and hydro fan(I broke it myself when I replaced lift spirol pin :bash2: )

I had a feeling it was on upside down! Thank you. I'll be taking it off in the next few days anyway to put my 3 pt. on.

I'm assuming that when I take that off, the rear end seal gets broken and I'm going to lose all my fluid? Will I need to replace a gasket there?

_DX3_ 07-15-2011 08:59 PM

Great looking 782D. I love those red ones. Terkaa, can't wait to see the finished product...

I was able to take advantage of the slightly cooler past few days and put the front wheel brackets on the deck. No more scalping on uneven ground around some trees. The brackets were from xtrememotorworks. They worked perfect. Thanks Aaron!

Today i decided to get the cubs out and moved around, (well with the exception of the 1450). it was good to get the 123 up and moving again. got lots of looks from the neighbors from one end of the street to the other! :biggrin2: Then lined them all up to get their picture taken. The 1450 isnt in any presentable shape at the moment but it still appeared in the pics in spirit!

ACecil 07-20-2011 12:58 AM

Nice looking yard Allen/Jenn. I feel like I was transplanted in AZ. Grass is brown, dirt is hard cracked and dry, and only thing growing is weeds.

Today I got the 100 out, jacked up the front end, and took the front wheels off to replace the bearings.

Where would be the best place to get bearings at? :bigthink:

Also took the seat cover off for the first time to see what condition the pan was in......... :beerchug:

j.m.jackson 07-24-2011 11:12 PM

I spent the afternoon doing some work on the 1872, and now I'm watching Sling Blade. I'm spotting a cub or two at the shop that Karl's workin at. =)
