Duke,

Waiting for paint to dry, and parts to arrive! I tell you, a fully loaded rear is HEAVY! I moved it out to prime and paint, got it primed and painted, and hopefully I'll get the other side of the brake assy. painted and mounted on the rear tomorrow evening. We'll see!

today i took the 38 inch deck off the 86 and put a 44A on it to see what it would be like. man am i impressed. the little 8 horse handles the 44 inch deck with no problem and it cuts very nice and level. i use 2000 series cubs for mowing usually and save the old ones for "true work" :biggrin2: but i suited the 86 up for a back up mower. i might have to rethink what i mow with now after how sweet this thing mows :beerchug:

ACecil 07-27-2011 11:22 AM

Cool deal, Nick! The 86 looks good with the deck.

Today I went to a garden tractor pull at the county fair, sold some parts, and did some trading. Ended up bringing home a set of 23x8.50-12 Carlisle Power Trac tires on rims, that have hardly been used. After cleaning them some, they look almost new.

Also stopped by a guys place who had a parts CC 1000:biggrin2:........ Picked up a hood, dash with steering, rubber ISO mounts (they were replaced and have only 60 hrs on them, were like new) and a nice 44A mower deck. :beerchug:
