Got the 2372 (1872) ready for it's winter nap. Cleaned up the Haban, removed the front mower angles and put grease between them and the shell to hold out moisture, and hopefully keep rust out.
Oiled up the underside with waist oil, and finally installed the new blades. Picked up this NOS hour meter awhile back, and finally installed it. Figuring the "new" engine needed a new hour meter. Blew all the dusk and crap out from around the engine, and put it away for the year.:beerchug: |
Nice work Todd!! Always great to pull it out in the spring ready to go!:beerchug:
I like the new hour meter! Now you can say you got a NEW tractor next year!!:biggrin2::biggrin2: |

:beerchug: Maintenance is the key, Todd. Nice touch with the new hour meter. And hardened blades too!

Got some tires filled w/fluid today.
w/the fluid (W/S washer) and the weights I added + 2 link chains, I'm at 185# per wheel. 3 weights per wheel. 2 are modified dumbbell pieces, drilled and notched for valve stem clearance and 1 Cub weight on the outside. This should make the 882 push some serious snow. |
Nice work Mr. Z keepin' it clean...
sound like a lot of poundage for the 882,are you a person that is lean ? |

I got my dad's 1440 all cleaned up for winter hibernation, it gets used to mow around the buildings and despite my best efforts it sits outside all summer and was covered in black stuff. Hopefully I can get a coat of wax on it tomorrow before it gets put away.

You do good work there Tim.:beerchug:
