Something wrong??

Hi folks, first time RZT owner and have had it about 6 months. I've only just began to notice that the right side caster wheel doesn't have nearly the weight the left side does. While not moving, I can hardly spin the left wheel, but the right moves and spins with hardly any effort. I thought that maybe one of the wheels was bad, so I just put 2 news ones on and still have the issue. While driving, the left is solid and straight, but the right tends to bounce around. Any ideas what could be the issue here? Any and all help is much appreciated.

I would think maybe your rears tires needs air pressure maintenance.

Tire pressure can make a big difference...and that's probably what's wrong. Hopefully you don't have a bent frame... :bigthink:

The tires are airless so there is no tire pressure.

Have you checked the deck leveling adjustments per the owners manual.
One side may have worked loose and dropped the deck all the way down.

interesting that the tires are zero pressure, guess I never saw that on a zero turn.
possible you should look closely at the back tires for an inflation stem.
A solid rear tire would ride so hard it would rattle ones fillings.

I think he was talking about the deck tires...

Correct, back tires are normal air tires, but the caster tires are solid. Is there any way to tell if the frame is bent? I bought it used obviously, but in pristine condition. Looked like it was hardly ever used. Had less than 50hrs on it.

Try putting a 4 foot level across the frame towards the back and then across at the front, to see if the bubbles on the level are in the same place. Be sure to check the mower on a very level concrete floor. (Use the level on the floor to find the best spot). Move the mower to that spot and check it front and back with the level to find any problems with the frame. :bigthink:

If the bubbles aren't the same on the level, the frame could be racked slightly...If not too bad, you might be able to adjust the wheel height on one side to have both wheels touching the ground. :biggrin2:

I took your advice Garydee and put a level on it. It is pretty darn straight. Now the million dollar question is? Is there a way to adjust the caster wheel height? I took this bolt out, but under round cap is just bearings.

What are the pressures in PSI of the back tires? They should be even.

That'good news! Is the bolt long enough to add a washer or two to adjust one of the front wheels so they both touch the ground?
