Got the 1812 fixed
2 Attachment(s)
Thanks to Matt the coil on the motor was bad.I also found out that the motor has been rebuilt and the bad part is that someone left out two motor mount bolts! It messed up the whole drive line i bought a new drive shaft, flex discs, drive flange. It does run but the float is bad so the carb would flood i ordered a float today it will be in 2mro.I also bought ags for the rear i just bought one for now at TSC.Attachment 13374

Sam , I heard you say on your video you bought a Carter carb at TSC ?? You sure it's not a Walbro ??
If it is a Carter , I am heading to TSC. Thought they quit making Carters. |

What did the commenter mean by add a 12 volt fan to your hydro? Is there a known heat problem with them? I did notice that the 1812 was missing all of the cooling shroud that my 1811 has and that could affect the cooling some. Any secret knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I like the vid!
I like the coment on the true powers, I like the super lugs better too! Too bad Carlisle stopped making them in 10.50 for our cubs. I think those are Oregon, branded something else. I think that tread is much better than true powers! |
That's a sweet 1812. I know it's a pain but I would highly recommend putting a new hydro fan on even if it's only used for light duty especially with currents temps this summer.
