I'd call that a scam...that's some off-brand lawn tractor with the hood and grille from a 782 sitting on it.

the Only part on this Junk pile that is Cub Cadet is the Hood and Grill ...I think the rest is a Sears/ARIENS or something lol I think and he is selling is for parts or restore I just think its Funny :biggrin2: and you are right Matt Scam all the way

Thats how I see it to. Plus there may be an IH emblem on the grill there's another $30. Save the hood $30, the hood hinge $30, and a good grill casting $40. take what's left to the scrap yard for another $20. I'll let you guys know if it stays at $10 bucks I'll own it and we'll see!!! It's only a few miles from here and cash at pickup no risk.

Well I emailed him yesterday and he changed it. Check out his new listing, same link. I dont think he was trying to scam anybody on purpose. Maybe he was just confused.

I said....

" That is not a cub cadet. It may have a cub cadet hood and grill but it looks like a craftsman or something. Someone trying to find a cub cadet to restore is going to be mad if they win."

His response,

Im going to let him off the hook and just say people arent always as bad as it seems. :D

At least he was able to see that he had it listed wrong and wasnt bent out of shape for it or try to tell you differntly when you asked. Kinda interested in who had the bright idea to mix all those parts together in the first place :bigthink:

It's a Craftsman chassis I have a twin to it here and had several others I'm surprised at how nice that cub nose fits it! He admits he does not know what it is now that he bought it "as is" And listed it as Cub Cadet at first based on the hood.I don't think he is trying to scam anyone he just didn't know what he had.

Couple pics. Has the IH emblem :biggrin2:, the grill is really nice just needs cleaned up some, good hood ornament, screen and headlights are good, and the hinge is good. Hoods is pretty nice but the cast is missing one of the tabs. Plus it has a cub mule drive under it, welded on but its there. Had a couple mods done on it but it still has some usable parts on it. I think I'll get my 15 bucks worth out of it :biggrin2:. I think can save the tires for something to.
