Well I found a cat 0 plow from the same guy that had the bush hog and we made a deal. It looks to be in okay shape. I may paint it and was wondering if the decals are still avialable?

EricR 01-10-2012 08:30 PM

Oak, you are on fire with finding these attachments, great job!

_DX3_ 01-10-2012 08:42 PM

Congrats on the new toys. That plow will look good red and black. The oval Brinly decals can be found on Ebay and other web sites. I can't vouch for any of the other decals.

I also picked up this planter tonight but I don't know a thing about these.

What brand and model does it look like?
Where can I purchase the seed plates because it didn't come with any?
What is missing off of the front hitch and what will I need?
Were these 3 point or sleeve hitch?
Is there anything else missing?

I found a set of those on a 3 point lift up here on CL, but they were a bit out of my $$ limit. You could adjust the width of them for wider or narrower rows.

Those look awesome when all painted up nice. It would be easy to probably put a Cat 0 mount on it.

Todd, sweet scores! Ben aka cub123 has my old sleeve hitch adaptor for his planter maybe he'll take some pics of it for you if he's not to busy playing on his 982!:biggrin2:

The plow looks great behind the 982!

cub1782 01-10-2012 10:13 PM

You just find all the good stuff.

I don't know the difference, but I think it is either a Brinly KK100 or a KK200. It is supposed to be a sleeve hitch, but it is missing on there. I think it is also missing front cultivator-like tine that creates the initial row before the front bucket drops in some fertilizer and the back bucket drops in the seed.

As far as finding the seed plates, I think you'll have ot camp out on evilpay for a while and hope someone comes up with some for sale. I think you can also gets different sprockets for changing the timing on when the seed drops.

I sent you an email with a scanned jpg of an ad that I think the planter is. But the link is on that site that talks about those green tractors, so I don't think I can post it here.

Thanks guys. I had no idea that I was gonna buy these two things. I just couldn't turn them down. I didn't know Brinly made that many models of planters. Thanks Dusty, I'll check them out.

GREAT FINDS TODD. Nice plow, planters, and bush hog. Im really Jealous. When we get to the plow day, you can talk to Robert Stegall about that planter. He seems to know a lot and has 3 of them. Ben and Joe Allen will be there too and they also have them so you should be able to get your questions answered. Id just like to know whats behind door #2 and #3....

Todd, didn't get home before dark today, but I don't plan on getting any more cubs tomorrow, so I'll get them in the morning. If your going to be at plow day I could even bring mine, all you got to do is bring the corn!:biggrin2:

Nice pics Ben. In your 3rd pic, the hybrid plate pic, I noticed over on the hitch area what looks to be an upside down cross. Can you explain what that is for? Just curious.

cub123 01-13-2012 11:46 AM

That is for the row spacing arm, it swings out and marks a line for the next row, or you can put it up when moving it. Here's a pic I found on the net.

Methos 01-13-2012 01:33 PM

Sweet pics Ben! I'm so glad I gave that hitch part to you insteed of throwing it out!

Iluvtruks0 01-13-2012 09:18 PM

Thanks Ben. Great explanation
