OCC is a bad influence...
I have been a member here for a few short months and have been informed that this website is a bad influence by my wife. You see, it all started with moving to a new house that has a 900' driveway and my Toro snowblower was not going to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. So I searched Craigslist and stumbled on an Original Cub Cadet with a POS snowplow (homemade). This website has shown me that there are good quality parts out there, reasonably priced and still available with a little patience. So the search was on for a snow thrower (BB36) which was found 50 miles away for a song! I then realized that it is best to have a creeper for the thrower to work well (still looking!). Next was to replace the snow blade (spring-trip) (since a creeper was needed for the thrower to work well) which was found about 150 miles away and the guy met me half way for delivery New Years weekend. Now I am trying to talk her into having 2 or 3 machines for different duties (and at least one of them having the aforementioned creeper)...Oh the price one pays to be married and have hobbies! ;)

:ExtremeFunny: Oh yeah....

I learned that once I get them home I let my son claim them! And when she brings up about wanting me to sell them all I do is tell her it's her job to tell him that he has to sell his tractor.:biggrin2: Works every time!:beerchug:

Oh you sly dog you....:biggrin2:

My angle on the discussion is that I do not want to have multiple implements laying around and have to take the time to take this one off and put that one on...it seems to be working; time will tell!

I have started telling my wife that Duke said I needed a particular item to make work easier. She is starting to reconsider his importance in my life. :biggrin2:

My wife enjoys the cubs like I do. :biggrin2:

my wife reminds me every time she see's me on here that we live in the city & i need to take my hillbilly a** to the county & we dont need 5 lawn mowers & i tell her they'er tractors & im not shoveling a 175' drive way & she looks at me with a serious face & calls me a bumkin & says what will the neighbors think ,like i care what they think ! :biggrin2::bigthink:

While recently discussing my Cub Projects the wife asks "when are you going to be done with that thing your working on now"????? How can I break it to her that this is a serious addiction:) And the only cure is probably more cub stuff?
We have 4 acres, the garage has Cub stuff snow blower and dismantled tiller, The small 10 x 12 out building has 2 Cubs and one Wheel Horse, The sugar house has 3 Cubs and one Bolens in it too. Another 127 parts tractor setting outside and a parts wheel Horse. I still have to get that 125, deck, blower and #1 trailer home this spring too! Guess you guys are a bad influence.:) Regards, Chris |

I'm pretty sure mine understands the addiction. Most times all I get is the "what do you need that for" and it's done, something is coming home.

No problems at my house either, between my Dad and I we have 4 cubs a Jacobson and a :Sorry: green lt 165, BUT my Grandfather gave me that one and I want to add an "O" to the collection in the near future so we have had many tractors for years. Just a way of life here. :beerchug:

My parents just shake there head and say why do you need this one for. I tell them that my personal goal is to get 10 cubs or more.:biggrin2::biggrin2:
