Another New Member From North Carolina

NOW I KNOW WHY CUB CADET PICKINS ARE SO SLIM ON N.C. CRAIGS LIST!!!
Hello Everybody, Van here from central N. C.
I've been a WheelHorse owner for years and stilll love 'em, but for a long time been resisting the urge to add a Cub Cadet to the lawn tractor collection until now. (had to sell off a couple of farm tractors first to make room for something else)
Just this week aquired a 1975 Cub 1650 Hydro. The tractor is in fairly good shape, especially for its age. Everything is there, motor runs, hydro works and lifts the mowing deck, lights work, mowing deck works, paint good for now.
Its good to have found this forum. I am seriously studying the information of "Daves 1650 Project" listed on page 13 of the IH Cub Cadet Tractors GT forums. If you are reading this Dave, THANK YOU MAN!!!
Anyway, glad I'm here. I see there are some good folks here on this forum. Thank you for having me,
Van

Cub-N-It 01-13-2012 08:51 PM

Thank you again everybody!
Cubcrazy, I fall short where posting pics are concerned. My New Years resolution is to sometime this year buy a digital camera and learn how to post pics. I use a computer alot for my real job but never have to post any pics. Gonna learn though. Please be patient with me.
DWayne, Thank you for the welcome. I promise I will not give any troublle here with you being a Moderator. Only Yes Sir, and No Sir to you:)
Allen, I am looking forward to meeting you.
Duke, I love the Statesville area. Thats God's Country in North Carolina.

Welcome Cub-N-It

Down here in Moore County. I have a 104. I feel your CL pain - scan it regularly and don't see much. Welcome to the Forum.

I totally agree and i think a great place would be at the Southeast Old Threshers Reunion in Denton NC. That's kinda towards the middle of the state and it's a huge tractor show so it would be worth going to. I'll be there, and I know ACecil will be there. We ran into ajcombs last year as well. Jallen also goes. Let's do it this year.

June 30th - July 4th. The show always includes the July 4th holiday but the dates are not always the same. They have a website. http://www.farmpark.com/seot.html

Thanks. That's usually 'trek to the in-laws' week. I'll cross my fingers.

Hey sounds good to me too. I will have to not let this conflict with my usual week at the beach. Do ya'll have any idea what day you would want to meet there???

Fireman72737 02-17-2012 09:29 PM

Same here. We are at the beach that week but maybe I could head back early. I have to been there in years.

Well I for one will be there the whole event plus extra days. We camp there at the show, and usually get there early and leave late. So im available the whole time. Those of you coming for a day trip should figure out what works best for everyone.

Methos 02-17-2012 11:57 PM

Sounds like a great idea. To get more interest and eyes make a post in the gerenral section of the site.

ACecil 02-18-2012 09:06 AM

Jenn and I, will be there Saturday.

elbertjolley 02-21-2012 11:42 AM

I'm close to Kinston, NC. I to look at CL every other day. I would love to find some hydro lift parts to convert mt 1810 into 1811. Also would love to find a 10' plow, sleeve hitch.
