How did OCC get started?

Looking around to see how OCC got started, couldn't find anything. That don't mean it's not here someplace, it just means I can't find it.
Wondering who, when and anything else about the site.

That is a great question now, considering we just rolled over 5000 members. I am hope Allen and Roland will give us some history. :beerchug:

OCC was the idea of founder David O'Steen. It started in March of 2007. It has went through a number of changes & upgrades over the years to where it is today. Coming on board from the beginning, the initial worry was....are we going to make it. We have had our share of growing pains but we persevered.

Today, we are the second largest and the fastest growing Cub Cadet Forum on the net.

Our Forum is totally free and free from pop up advertising. Our Site Sponsors are our mainstay in this department.

Our success is due to many aspects, but mainly the active members that come here daily and help other members with their Cub Cadet issues.

Interesting! Thanks, it's just one of those things I needed to know.

For me OCC is just as addictive as yellow fever! Who knows what would happen when I get the red fever! I feel sorry for my wife.:biggrin2:

We've definitely came a long way, and the site keeps getting better and better!

I started OCC out of frustration with the format of the other sites. I didn't feel that they were viewer friendly. That and they seemed rather cliquish. Realizing it was going to be an uphill battle, I asked that Roland and Bill join me early on to help build what in my opinion is the best Cub Cadet site on the web! The rest as they say, is history!

Well said, David! Great to see you post, my friend!
