Western NY Plow Day pics
 

Heres a few pics from the Ionia NY plow day. Anyone recognize the Pure Plow Machine with the Da Duke tearing up some NY soil.

Duke the first pic is my friend Mel on my 682 and the fifth pic is Earl with his pure plow machine.

Kelly thanks! I didn't see the gas can on Earl's smoker chaser so it threw me off a little.

Just for kicks I checked Google to see how far Earl went to plow, about 680 miles one way. :bigthink:

Yes the day was great for plowing. Earl is a fantastic guy. I am glad I had the chance to meet him. Al tho he had a short day because of a break down I still had fun BSing with him. The soil really looked better than it was. It was about 50% sand and if your tires spun just a little bit you would bottom out.

Was great to meet Kelly & see his workin smoker, he puts that machine to the test up there in the snow belt! they don't list how many inches the'll git but, how many FEET!!! I fine Christian man named, Mr. Belden, (who lived next to the plow site), took the wounded PPM's lift arm, ( bolt snaped off in lift arm), to his welding shop removed the bolt cleaned treads. Me an George put her back together. but we had 3-4 hr drive home,to bingo town,so we packed up & headed out. The western NY JD club, did a great job, the food was great; pot salad,beans, dogs, fixens, (home made relish)drinks. just drop a donation in a jar! They had shirts for the Officals,golf carts to run parts/gas ECT. They had a setup jig, U drove your machine up on to set the plow to dig right, gits in the ballpark fast. I thought the soil was tuff, as Kelly said, was duing fine till I hit THE BIGGEST WOOD CHUCK HOLE I EVER SEEN!! snapped bolt in halve, got through the first furrow, but was acting strange, got half way through 2nd, really had a problem plow droped to China, couldn't lift, got out of feild, headded for trk when it snpped clean off. got fixed ok. had a great time meeting new PLOW NUTS like us all!! Sam, I go up every, weekend before Memorial day, to place flowers on our familys ancesters graves, (some from 1730's) . Thats on Pennfield mountian, about 45 mi from Penn state U. I travel to my sisters in Binghamton, ny first, then to plow day, that makes appox. 1K to plow day that way. but was worth it in both ways, I got to plow wine country soil, near Roschester ,ny ,The weather was perfect all week up there, got see grand kids ball games, worked with my ole stock car racing buddie, Duane on a 65 T-bird convert he's restoring, ( priceless)!!! Rolled off the Allegany mountian top, down the Bald Eagle valley, on a sunday morning, locale oldies station blasting, Sabath's WAR PIGS!! Felt like I was home !! but rolled on the gas, headed for my house down south. made one more time, just me & PPM!!!:BB&YS:

Nice part of the country. I used to teach high performance driving at Watkins Glen. Used to play with this toy. Kids with the Porsches and Ferraris hated it.:biggrin2:

I don't have a plow. None of my Cubs have 3 point hitchs and my BX is over your groups HP limit. :biggrin2:

The horse power limit is for the fact I never have room for tractors like H, WD, 4020's ect. If we do Beachwood again next year, anything can come, Im sure Billy would loane you that big set of disks he has and who knows, he may talk someone into pulling the row maker and the thing that spreads the plastic.

Sam bring it down next year I try to keep it with nothing bigger than 26 HP. But them deeres plow deep, maybe you can high center a few!
