what is this Cub roof thingie called and what is the value?
 

Hi guys,
I have this Cub Cadet 149 that I plan on selling on eBay however I would like to know what this roof is called (is there an accepted name in Cub Cadet collectors groups?)
Also I was obviously wondering- does the roof adds any substantial value to this lawn tractor?

I don't know the official name but it would a "shade canopy". Those are hard to find. Someone will be along with a pic to some cub literature showing the canopy. Good luck on the sale. :beerchug:

That is in fact, a roll over protection with the factory canopy. It think the seat belts on the fenders are an option,does it have the wheelie bars? You don't see them too often that nice.:beerchug:

That guy (in the eBay link) is looking for $300 just for the roll bar and canopy, is he completely nuts or is that realistic?

I want one, but I think $300 is alittle steap... What is the deal with the seat belt on one of the adds? I have never seen that on a cub before.

Ironlady - this one I have has the holes for the seatbelts and a shadow/scratch that looks like it had the seat belts at one time.

I can't help past that point but it kind of cool ...and odd at the same time

indianfield: I think the one on eBay was a little high, but I would say 200+ is about right depends on if someone is nearby / willing to pick it up. A collector MIGHT give as much as 300 if the top isn't torn or faded bad. It's really not the most useful accessory, especially if you have trees:biggrin2: With the tractor, it's hard to say, maybe $7-800? Again, it just depends on demand.

The 149 is a real "garden tractor" not a lawn tractor/mower like the junky things they presently sell @ Blows & Home cheapo.
It is capable of ground engaging equipment like plows, rototillers, snow throwers & grading blades, among other equipment

It's a neat collectors item, but unless you always mow a treeless yard at noon, a little silly IMHO.
