I've got plenty of room, but no coin to build one.

Looking forward to pictures of the new toy box:biggrin2:

Gulp. I hope you heat it for those cubbies when it gets cold?

Then I ponder the thought of my 3 car garage. I only have 1section. Well that's more than enough for me since I only kill grass & plow that white crap. But I keep it toasty during the fridged months. Can't smoke a good cigar in the cold.

Nik,

Sam Mac 10-17-2012 06:52 AM

COOL, Cubs do like lots of room to roam. :beerchug:

TheIHMan 10-26-2012 10:45 AM

I have been saving for a while and was going to wait till the spring to build it, but my mother sold her place and now I have to move the things that I have stored there. Plus her neighbor has a couple more Cubs that will need a new home.

The trusses were delivered yesterday. I get home after dark and I leave in the dark, so I will have my daughter get some pictures tomorrow. They look good sitting there. The builder said maybe tomorrow but I am thinking it will be Monday when they start.

This is what I am going to heat it with. It is a Hardy wood heater. This will be my 5th winter using it.

I know yall like pictures so here are my truck and trailer and my daughter the first time when she drove my tractor. I will post my pictures of my Cubs when I can do a family picture. I have them stored in 3 different places, but not for long!

ACecil 10-30-2012 10:24 PM

Very nice! Thanks for the pics.

Here is the progress. The builder should be here Monday. I am putting where the grass has been cut away at the end of the drive way. We have been here for 15 years so it is past time for a shop.

ACecil 10-31-2012 10:11 PM

Cool deal! Thanks for the pic and update.

Cool deal! That's what I heat with, both my 1500 sq ft shop and house. Is that an H4 model or larger? They do like the wood though.

Hope they get started soon on the shop, you'll wonder how you made it without so long.

CubDieselFan 11-06-2012 09:53 PM

They got started today. All the posts are in except 2. I will post some pictures when I can get some computer time.

ACecil 11-06-2012 10:19 PM

Sounds good! Looking forward to your pics.

They have all the post and wood for the sides and top up. They are almost ready for the trusses. I will take some pictures today and post them tonight.

I agree! Looks like you've got some room to expand with in the future.:beerchug:

Sam Mac 11-21-2012 07:36 AM

Anything new on this project?

CubDieselFan 11-22-2012 06:42 PM

The Trusses are up and 2/3 of the gravel is in place. They are going to finish the roof tomorrow. I will post some new pic's tomorrow after they get through, if they show up. They did not work Monday or Tuesday and missed some fine weather to work in.

Here is the update. I really like the way it is turning out. I had a hard time picturing it in my mind as to how it would look. So far so good. I even got my 1864 running today, but, it needs a new engine.

They got just a little more done than the pictures show. I will get some more pictures tomorrow.

Methos 11-23-2012 09:55 PM

That's going to be great for your cub shop!:beerchug:

brentwd 11-23-2012 10:00 PM

How big are the posts? They look like they are 4x4s. Or are they bigger? My 40 x 60 has 6x6s and is 16 foot high:bigthink:

They are 6x6 posts. Mine is 12 foot, which is more than I need, but I may want to sell someday so I went 12 foot.

Very nice toy box! What are you doing for a floor?
Seems like it's going up fairly fast, but not fast enough for you I bet:beerchug:

It is going to be concrete, but I am going to wait till next spring to do that. Let the gravel settle more and let my wallet heal too.
