Who beat me on the hydro lift, on ebay, yesterday

I am hoping it was one of you guys.

cubcadet 03-04-2013 09:09 AM

not me but it was expensive last i saw it was up to $256

vartz04 03-04-2013 09:18 AM

That was my bid. I went to $260 but it sold for $330

mmzullo 03-04-2013 09:20 AM

What was the set up for?

cubcadet 03-04-2013 09:53 AM

wow $330 i didnt think they were worth that much they are rare though

vartz04 03-04-2013 10:14 AM

too rich for my blood I was willing to end up at about $315 with the shipping.

It was a hydro lift for a narrow frame.

cubcadet 03-04-2013 10:16 AM

ok nice yea thats too much money

cubcadet 03-04-2013 10:17 AM

I bought one a few months ago for my 147. I paid $300 for it complete with the rock shaft too. I had to replace all the seals and the spring in the pump. That ran about $75 more. I had to do some mods to put it on the 147 though. It came out great and works really good. After paint I'm into it for about $400 but, I think it's worth it.

Wasn't me, I don't have any narrow frames. Those hydro lifts are bringing good money. That's probably about right on for the lifts nowadays if they are complete........

I really can't justify spending double what the tractor costs. $300 is was my limit and it came with everything but after shipping they were close to $400 for that ebay unit. I paid $215 for the tractor and plow. I guess I should plan on rigging up a linear actuator or spending some coin.

I've watched them go for over $500 on eBay with crude spray can paint jobs to make them look nice. Rarely will you find them ready to go under 300. Last time I bid on one that needed work I was outbid by a forum member only to find it posted on a forum for double the money a week or two later. I since bought a tractor just for the hydro lift and resold the tractor. More work but you can save some money that way if willing to go through the trouble. Be patient and keep your eyes open. One for a decent price will pop up. since I got mine 4-5 more showed up all the sudden. Where were they when I was really looking.

A guy that I know has 4 of them and wants $400-$450 for them and they all need rebuilds and the cylinder rods are shot too. I offered him $300 for one when I was looking and he turned it down.

Ebay auctions? No thanks.

mmzullo 03-05-2013 08:06 PM

I have 4 of them in stock!:biggrin2:

darkminion_17 03-05-2013 08:26 PM

Got me beat by 1 Mr Mike.

Just like anything, if you want it bad enough your nose will pay through it.

Muzzy 03-07-2013 06:40 PM

For me, it was a good investment. I wanted a small beefy tractor to pull around a york rake and having hydraulics on my 147 is perfect.
