Anyone heard from "4speed" Doug?
 

He took my $55 dollars and never sent my parts for the 125?
Tried PM'ing him many times getting no response.
The last thing he wrote me was "OMG dude I totally forgot. will send them tomorrow." That was close to a month ago.

Payment was via Paypal. So funds should not have been the problem.

Contact PayPal, maybe you can get your $$ back.

His last log in was Apr 19th.

I sent him an E-Mail.

I have not heard anything from Doug on any other forums, to speak of. I would not rule out a leave on work, or family matter? I have bought parts from him, and feel he is very honest / creditable person. I understand your feelings, though and hope all works out well for you!:High5:

I paid him $350 in Jan for a 3pt. I spoke to him a couple times but no refund and no parts so far. I know he has some taxes due. Hopefully he will make it right with us soon. I met Doug and He does seem to be an upright guy. Hope he is ok.

Yep had numerous transactions with him and all were upstanding deals...
Hopefully all is well...

In to the mind of Zoomach: I was always curious as to why he wanted to sell the 125 or it was getting parted out. After all that work, was really clean! Oh well.

I think the reason behind selling most of that stuff was so he could get buy
some Supers.

Second of all, I know life happens, but if parts are paid for in January and it's May and still no parts...........:Huh:

I have yet to hear anything. I have bought and sold for years online. I can honestly say this is a first that I have had any problems.
I am not gonna discredit his reputation. But I posted just to let others know what he is doing , so others do not get burned.:bash2:

I tried a dispute through PayPal they said they don't assist with these type transactions between two private parties. Doug really has no excuse, over three months to ship the hitch and nothing. I E-mailed him, PM'd, and spoke to him twice on the phone and each time he agreed to ship in a couple days. Like Hardware Hank, this is the first time I have ever had a problem transaction with an individual. Out $350???.....come on man!

Maybe a member who lives close to him should pay him a visit.....:bash:

I just sure hope that he makes things right with everyone he had made a deal with:bigthink: I myself have bought and sold many many things online through numerous different places, forums, etc. and NEVER once had a problem. A deal is a deal and someone is only as good as their word in my book!! Here on OCC is a GREAT group of people and I have had the pleasure of meeting several. Unfortunately there is one in every crowd that plays spoiler....

Still no response, no parts, and no refund. I stopped by his house last year to pick up a 682. If I get back to Ohio I may stop by to see what's up. Eight hour drive for me. Not looking for trouble but a man is only as good as his word.

I really feel bad for all who are out money and parts. Being members here when we buy and sell, if one (or more) transactions go south, then we all feel taken advantage of so to speak. I really hope he and his family are healthy and nothing came up healthwise.

The worst part is he took the money and possibly used it to buy the 1772 that was for sale.......... :bigthink: :Duh:

Doug has always been straight with me. I sent him a message on FB to check OCC.

Doug and I worked this out today. Things happen. We need to be straight forward and keep up communications in hard times so we can work through these things.

Hope Doug comes back to the forum, he's a good contributor.

Im so SORRY guys. I had all kinds of bad things go down all at the same time.
My CPA screwed me and I owe a ton in back taxes, with no clue how thats getting paid.
and a lot more stuff with family

thats no reson for not shipping Hardware Hank parts out to him. but I did PayPal him his money back 2 or 3 weeks ago. and dont see a post of him saying he got it.

again Sorry, and if Im not welcome here I understand. I will not sell any more on the forums because of my work. Im gone 7 to 12 days then home only 2 and dont have time to get to the PO by noon on Sat.

Saw this brought back on top this morning. With absolutely NO communication from Doug. And NO email from Paypal. I was not aware of a refund.
I see it was made on May 27th, for $55.00. Considering I sent the money for parts out at the end of Feburary.
Do I say "Thank you" at this point?

as a parts seller some times bad things happen I am just glad to see all this resolved I don't know any of those involved but its nice to see a good ending
