5 Attachment(s)
Well, I FINALLY got my cab today!! Bought this from Nikster, Very excited about getting it on the 1811. It was made for a QL but, I don't think I will have any trouble making it work!
Attachment 43288Attachment 43291 Attachment 43290Attachment 43289 Yes, I was so excited, I got a bucket and a seat so I could "test it out" LOL! Also, got another blade off of Nik. It's in REALLY good shape! Attachment 43292 Want to say a BIG THANKS to Nikster! Very pleased with this deal!! :beerchug: |
Good looking cab ! Think I would have to test it out too! Now get it mounted so we can see more pics!..lol

Nice pickup on the cab!:beerchug:

Cabs around here in the NYC area are a dime a dozen...
Did it come with the wiper? Nice find on the cab |
dime a dozen, i never see any:bigthink:
|
Ah... make sure you add the tractor before winter:biggrin2:
Great score Jonathan:beerchug: |
Nice finds, Jonathan!

Thanks guys!
Lew, it has the wiper motor, but no wiper arm. Haven't tested the motor yet to see if it works or not. If not it WILL be getting a new one. A dime a dozen out there huh? If this one works like I think it will, the 125 in the background will be the next "cab candidate". :beerchug: |

Well, pulled the fender lights off the 1811 and set the cab on for a "quick fit". Gotta decide what to do for the side panels and windshield. I knew it would be a problem and was going to have to modify, but now with it on it helps me see what I can do. If anyone has a cab on a '82,'10,'11 or equal style tractor that can send some pics that would be greatly appreciated!
Attachment 43328Attachment 43327 Planning on removing the lift arm "box" I hate to cut up a perfectly good QL cab, but if I ever want to put it on another tractor, it will be a hydraulic lift machine anyway. Plan is to remake the windshield and side panels like exactly like the '82 series cab. The front of the two cabs are shaped differently, but you get the idea. That way, I can save the old windshield and side panels for possible later use. Attachment 43329 Any pics or suggestions welcome! :beerchug: |
Cab looks good sitting on it Jonathan!
|
Cab looks good John but you on the bucket is the best, LMAO. I'd get some Lexan for the windshield. Nice and easy to cut with a router or jig saw.
|
You'll enjoy the cab this Winter, Jonathan!
|
Looks sweet bro. Going to have to come over to check it out.

Couple of guys have asked me whether I have my cab mounted yet. I do not. Been busy at the shop with some big projects, and have spent the last couple days on the road. Between the cab, and getting my 125 up and going, I have been switching back and forth between the two projects. Have to do some modifying on the cab to make it work on this tractor. Like I mentioned before, nothing that will not make it work on a QL still. Just improvements on mounting mostly. However, I do intend to remove the "box" for the manual lift. Even if I ever put it on a QL it wouldn't be a a manual one. Very soon I need to get this done, snow's a commin!! :beerchug:

Is it just me, or is that 82 Series missing a front tire?! :bigthink:
http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/attac...9&d=1382936278 As for the cab, since it's for a quietline, I'll take it off your hands, Johnathon, ya know, to save you the fabrication trouble :biggrin2: |
Sweet cab! I'm a little jealous :beerchug:

Cab looks nice on your 1811 Doug. It will really be appreciated this winter! Let us know how you resolved your windshield and front panels situation. Cub Cadet 123 |
It's there but completely covered in dirt!:biggrin2:

Very nice Jonathan! They never really caught on down here in Georgia but it would be nice to use in the summer with an A/C unit mounted on the roof.:biggrin2:
|
Oak, I looked into A.C. units. I'm in the "dealer network" for an aftermarket A.C. company. I can get a new roof mount A.C. unit for $925. Only problem is.... it takes 33 amps to run. You'd have to add an alternator. But, I really don't think that is a big deal. I may even add one to this 1811 because I think I'm going to put an electric heater in it. Plan to add a pulley between the motor and driveshaft coupler (just like on the "K" series for the add on hydraulic pump for the NF's) and put a 60 amp single wire self exciting alternator on. Overall cost for AC I think would be justified if you use the tractor a lot in the summer. Beats the heck out of $35K for a small cab tractor!!!

AC on a Cub? This is my answer to cooling off when I get hot mowing in the summer. Just had to bust. :biggrin2:

Financially, the A.C. is cheaper :biggrin2::biggrin2: Although I would love to add AC just to say I did, I'm not spending $1000 on an A.C. kit for that tractor...... unless I find a way to use it more.... :bigthink: This is all the pool I'll be affording..... LOL Attachment 44321 |

That's my kind of cooling off Sam! Quote:
