How does a snow plow attach to a wide frame?
 

I was looking for some manual or something so I could see how these plows attach. I can tell the they push into the front mounts but not sure how they attach to the rear. To lift the blade up and down is it done by attaching a bracket from the lift arm to the front of the blade or does the plow just lift somehow from the mech under the tractor which is attached to the lift arm?

On a NF, the "ears" slip onto the bar under the footrests. I would image the WF is the same way.

OK that was what I was missing. The plow mule (?) is attached to that bar that goes across the frame for the foot mounts. I just didn't make any sense to mount any other way but was not sure. I did check on Youtube and see that the plow is lifted by attaching a bracket to the lift arm much like your picture shows. Thank you :)

Do you have a wide frame blade?
Your 108 does not need the bracket Jeff posted.
Did you look in the tech section?There are manuals that show how to install one.

The lift rod on a Wide Frame attaches to the bracket on the triangular shaped main frame and to the hole in the casting on the implement lift arm. There is no added bracket or "paddle" (as I've seen them called) like the Narrow Frames use.

If you have a hydraulic lift on your Wide Frame, the lift rod attaches to the hole in the bracket on the end of the implement lift rockshaft.

Can someone comment on how the lift rod would attach to the lift handle on a 682? Mine is one that was assembled by CCC, not IH. I haven't been able to determine if the IH built 682's had the casting at the pivot point like the QL's, etc or if they all had the straight tube handle running all the way down to the pivot point.

I'll have to look again. That actually was the first place I looked but must have missed it :-(

Lew, found the manual. It was titled dozer and that was what messed me up :-) So the manual does show a bracket like jeff posted for a WF?http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15335 I'm looking at the wf1 manual.
