Here in central PA we got some wind and the cold but not enough snow to plow or blow. Oh well maybe next time.

You should put your lights on for safety

Great video!! Which one do you prefer to work with, the snow thrower or the blade? I've been having some problem with my thrower on my 149 clogging. I found that if I spray some Prestone de-icer in the chute, then it doesn't clog up as bad. Just have too much rust in the chute...

A couple of things I have heard of folks using in the chutes and blower/auger

Cooking spray like "Pam" or some silicone or graphite spray. I have used the silicone in my small Crapsman thrower.

The slicker the chute, the better the thrower works. Took my thrower chute off this past fall, sanded and repainted it, then waxed it.

Great video. I'm in Orange County, NY and we didn't see that much snow but we have the bitter temperature. What's under the boat cover, skeeter?

I find snow thrower works best when you get three inches or more of the Dry fluffy snow. Also, the deeper the snow- the better the thrower works. I prefer to use the thrower, but the blade comes out if it's wet heavy snow.

I have the inside of the housing, the auger, and the chute painted with POR-15 WhiteCote. So far, I have not had any issues with clogging. I did have some ice form under the chute today. The ice made it difficult to rotate the chute, so I sprayed some de-icer on it to free it up. This does not usually happen, but it was very cold today. It was 3F at 8:00 am when I started, and the high today was only 15F.

Yes. That is a 1984 Skeeter Wrangler 120. Back in '84, the hulls were hand laid. I have a 1982 Johnson 115 on the back. And yes, she runs!
