How much will the NOS 169 muffler go off for on eBay ?

What do you guys think that Nos 16 muffler go off for:bigthink:

Cub Cadet 123 01-27-2014 11:12 AM

Of course it is only speculation, depending on who is watching, how bad they want it and how much $$ they have to float that way. My best guess would be between $65-$100. If you have one, you can just put a reserve on it. Why do you have one for sale?

Cubcrazy 01-27-2014 11:12 AM

How much is it now?:bigthink:

Cubcrazy 01-27-2014 11:22 AM

I just took a peek and it is $217.50 already!

ACecil 01-27-2014 11:41 AM

darkminion_17 01-27-2014 12:28 PM

JLM78 01-27-2014 01:24 PM

cubcadet 01-27-2014 03:04 PM

Wow, but it didnt exceed the cost of the 800 muffler yet.:biggrin2:

Sam Mac 01-27-2014 03:49 PM

Not like it's a big deal, just go buy a Nelson muffler, cut the mount off your old one, weld in on the new one and be Happy Happy Happy. If any of you guys need a copy of the Nelson catalog shoot me a PM, I have a PDF of it.

How do you get to an order form and prices?

Alvy 01-27-2014 07:17 PM

The last 800 muffler went for over $350. Needless to say I'm modifying a different IH muffler to work until I find the needle in said haystack.

Alvy 01-27-2014 07:19 PM

Currently at $310 and reserve isn't met!

Wonder what the difference between "greedy" and "savvy businessman" is? :bigthink:

Take a couple minutes and look around this site
http://www.nelsonglobalproducts.com/product_set/

Billy-O 01-27-2014 07:45 PM

Hmmm! I wonder if I'll have better luck on the muffler pool instead of the Superbowl pool if there's one?

Alvy 01-27-2014 08:48 PM

Here we go again! So this one says Nelson on it so I assume that's the same place Sam just now they are NLA?

Boy, I have an "extreamly" rare 800 muffler. Last one on ebay sold for $345 and is the only one I've ever seen sell. I'm starting my bid $100 less than that one to give someone a deal.............:bash2:

Kinda funny, but over the past 4-5 years, I've seen no fewer than 10+ 800 mufflers sell on epay.

Guess I should have parted the 800 I used to have with a creeper and rear pto. Could've doubled my money than the price I sold it for as a whole tractor................

BigB87 01-28-2014 11:48 AM

WOW!!....330 bucks for a muffler....my exhaust on my dodge didnt cost that...nor my k5 blazer...i only have 200 in each truck....greedy...karma does come around

Alvy 01-28-2014 02:31 PM

Yeah by the time you get the specific muffler box piece and the muffler itself its almost 7 bills. It bums me out that mine had none of the 800 specific stuff but its also basic supply vs demand so I can kinda see it but I don't have to agree with it either. I would pay a few hundred for both exhaust pieces but I'm going to try to make mine first, we shall see

EarlJ 01-28-2014 02:52 PM

I think it's more stupid than greed bigb87, those 19 bidders got it up that much...

I wouldn't call the seller greedy. I'd call him smart. He could have put a "Buy It Now" price on it but instead he let the market dictate the price.

Billy-O 02-01-2014 01:50 PM

Sooo, whatcha you guys watching this Sunday? The game or the muffler? :beerchug:

JLM78 02-01-2014 03:36 PM

the muffler not a big fan of foot ball if it don't have engine is not a sport Lol :biggrin2:

red56turbo 02-01-2014 10:54 PM

I know the seller. Pretty good guy. I've bought parts from him before and have met him personally quite a few times. Good guy to deal with. Probably savvy businessman. I'm not in the market for a 169 muffler. Thank God!!!!

Cubcrazy 02-02-2014 06:37 AM

My take on it is more power to the guy. If someone needs a correct muffler for their restoration how many times do you see a NOS one come up. Good luck finding another one!:biggrin2:
