Red Power Showdown, Bloomsburg PA -on June 12-14 2014.
I don't know how many have heard about the IH show in Bloomsburg PA coming up on June 12-14 2014.
It is being put on by IHCC chapter 17, and if the previous Red Power Roundups held here are any indication it should be a good show. With the Roundup out in South Dakota this year, this show gives the east coast folk something to look forward to. Here is a link to the show website: http://www.ih-red-power-showdown.com/index.html |
I'll be there.
|
We will be there!:beerchug:
|
It's on my list of places to be. Maybe we should plan to meet up for lunch or something and meet everyone in person.
|
lol well just sat thru a 4 1/2 hour long meeting today for the red power round up in south Dakota this year and the topic of this show was brought up.
|
Would like to go will keep this in mind. Would like to bring the the 147R and train but have to find a more reliable trailer.
Thanks for the reminder. Would be several hour trip for us. Regards, Chris |
I'm going to try to make it down.:bigthink:

It is only an hour and 45 minute to there from here.If I go,between Me Mike and Mike and anyone else Nick will have a sensory overload,he will run out of questions to ask,I hope he writes down all the one he will ask us and anyone else.
Maybe I will bring some boxes with me... |
I am supposed to go to a co-workers wedding on that day BUT I also work with a HUGE IH fan, really he's 6' 8'' tall and said we WILL make this show weather Doug gets married or not so we will see as time gets closer. I'm less than an hour away so this may happen.

I've never been to an event like this. Do you bring tractors to display? Is there a swap meet of some sort? Buy/sell/trade? Is there a fee? Just wondering what the deal is...If you stay in a local hotel, where to do you put your tractors and stuff at night? The logistics seem daunting without an enclosed car carrier.

Would be nice if there were a FAQ on participating in an event like this, for us greenhorns.
What do you do at night--just leave your tractors at the fairgrounds? Or is it only one day? I'd have to stay over the night before and the night after as it's a 5 hour drive for me. |
I would sure like to go and display a few of my cub cadets maybe even my super A. Never been to a all IH show

Do you need to be a member question was answered.
I will ask this question again........ How much does it cost to be a member???? |

I think that will provide the answer. My local (VA) chapter is $30/yr. I'm not a member, but that's what I found. |
I sent an email to the President of the host chapter of Red Power Show Down.
They have additional insurance to cover non-members that are not part of International Harvester Collectors. It will not cost a non-member anything. All sponsored events like Red Power Round Ups requires anyone with a display to be a member of International Harvester Collectors nation group. The cost to belong to national group is $15. |
This is probably going to be a nice show if the weather is good.
For me this is about 4.5 hour drive. Could come down and stay over one night maybe. Need to find a trailer to haul all my IH stuff. Starting to think about this! All OCC folks getting together for a meal, would be nice, maybe breakfast? Regards, Chris |
Chris I would be up to do breakfast before the show!

I'm going to set up a full display for The Little Tractor Co in PA... www.TheLittleTractorCo.com
The 2 wheel drive 1206 and the 826 will be on display. Look for the tent and signage in the second photo. The 4x4 and puller will not be there though... Those are long gone. :) Kurt |
This show isn't too far away anymore, about 2 weeks.:beerchug:
|
Im a little bummed that I wont be able to make it. My wife is over 8 months pregnant and she would prefer I stick close to home, but soon I will have 2 boys fighting over who gets to ride on the cub with dad first so its ok.
|
Folks,
I agree with Cub Cadet! Ok I really have to think about this. Have the old 147R and some tow behind implements. But when I see Kurt's tractors, maybe I should stay home :), man do they look nice! Trailer is the issue for me right now. I don't have one. My son has a old one but not sure its ready for that trip. Regards, Chris |
I will be there sat! But none of my tractors are ready for the show..
