Nice weather here for a change...
 

So I thought I would take a little drive. I live near the start of the Skyline Drive so I thought I would drive it's length. 105 Miles. Weather in the 60's today with a snow storm predicted for tomorrow evening and into Monday so I thought I needed to take advantage of the good weather..

Nice pics John, looks like a nice LS too. That is a beautiful area. I've rode the Parkway from Fancy Gap to the start in Cherokee on my scooter a few times. What an awesome ride that is. Thanks for sharing the pics.:beerchug:

Thanks for sharing. Those of us still in the frozen tundra (Cleveland, OH in my case) appreciate the bright sunshine and roads that are not more chopped up than a Marine basic training obstacle course.

That was yesterday.. It is snowing pretty hard here now... I Hate Winter!!!

Man I wish we had roads like that here that would be a blast to cruise on the bike

If I recall when I drove part of that road many years ago the speed limit then was 35 mph all the way.

If you ever get the chance to ride the Blueridge Parkway, do it. It is one of the most beautiful roads I have ever been on and there are a bunch of motorcycle only campgrounds. Another sweet ride is Deals Gap, aka "The Dragon", 313 curves on 11 miles.

Very nice views! It was 65 here Saturday now Sunday morning is was 23 and snowing! But least it was just a dusting and mostly all gone tonight.I'm ready for this crap to be over with! Thanks for sharing your pics with us!

I live way to far for anything like that (cant get the time off work) besides I sold my gs1000 awhile back looking for more of a cruiser style.

The Skyline Drive ends and the Blue Ridge Parkway continues on for 469 miles. If you like walking, the Appalachian Trail runs through here also. 2160 miles of beautiful scenery.
