My vote goes to the 1782, 2182 & 2284 but I'm sure others will disagree :beerchug:

Cubcrazy 03-22-2014 12:17 PM

Horsepower wise it goes to the 2284 but my pick is the 1772!:beerchug:

Boy, this is like opening the can of worms about a gear drive versus hydro debate. :biggrin2:

For me, it would be a 1572, 1772, and 1782. Mostly because I have all three and have used them. Not a big fan of the Cyclops (1782) because of the plastic hood and such, but its a smoker. Here are some pics. Not trailer queens, but workers. All three have a three point with the 1572 and 1772 having rear pto's as well.

The pics: 1572, 1782, and the 1772.

Selling that one was not one of my better moves. At least it went to a good home.

My vote would be for the 1572 and 1772. I prefer the steel nose tractors. I do really like my 1872's too. But I guess best has to go to the diesels.

Cubcrazy 03-22-2014 08:36 PM

Nice pics of the supers guys!:beerchug:

Would the 3000 series fit into the super category?
if so I would say a 3235 with the 25hp Kohler engine.

TheSaturnV 04-05-2014 03:37 AM

Specs on the 3235:

Weight: 803 lbs [364 kg]
Wheelbase: 49.5 inches [125 cm]
Length: 74 inches [187 cm]
Rear axle: 1.18 inch diameter [29 mm]
2WD turn radius: 2.25 feet [0.7 m]

For comparison, the 1872:

Weight: ?
Wheelbase: 51.6 inches [131 cm]
Length: 78.5 inches [199 cm]
Width: 43.5 inches [110 cm]

-------------------------------------------

Trivia: MSRP on the 3235 was a whopping $6100...

SaturnV the operating weight of the 1872 985 lb with a 175 operator and 50 in deck.

My 2072 is listed as 1088 lb with 175 lb operator and 50 in deck
My 2084 comes in at 1070 lb with 60 in deck
Erics 2086 is listed at 1139 lb with 60 in deck.
A quick look did not reveal any heavier tractor weight.

ken6x6 04-05-2014 09:35 AM

the 1572/1772 is listed at 975lbs. add a 175 operator and your at 1150lbs. then add the deck, the 60'' Haban has to be close to 150lbs? so its gota be close to 1300lbs.

PaulS 04-05-2014 09:45 AM

Ken my 50 yrs of cub cadet lists the 1572 as 976lb with 175 lb operator, 50 in deck and fuel. The 1772 weight is listed as the same as the 1572.
