Well, almost. Still looking for a nice 124 to round out the series, but today was a great spring day to get the 4 I have together for a few pics. The casual observer might say "why did you buy 3 of the same tractors", but you and I know better... Please excuse the shadows on the 72 and the over-exposed pics of the group; playtime was running short this afternoon before Sunday supper.

The 72 just got the fenders and Ags last week, the 125 had just dropped the snowthrower minutes before the pics, and the 104 just got a fresh battery and proper headlight switch from Patton Acres. Trying to decide on a 42" or 48" deck for the 125 for this season. All tractors ready for another season of mowing and towing!

WILL YOU GET OUT OF HERE YOU MEATHEAD!:biggrin2:.....Just playing my "Archie" along with your title. Great line up of cubs on a great spring day. You have a distinct advantage on troubleshooting problems--you can easily swap parts from one to the other for a quick diagnosis!:bigthink:

I remember reading some literature when I was purchasing my zero turn that said every 4" increase in deck size decreases your mowing time by 20%, so you will want to go with the 42" deck in order to maximize your seat time.:beerchug:

Thanks for sharing your cool pics,

Cub Cadet 123

Tom,
Nice group of cubs. That 124 will show up sooner than later. :beerchug:

Awesome shots. They are one of my favorite line of cubs. I'd personally go with a 48" on the 125- it can handle it and will look better IMO.

Nice looking covey. Always good to have a back-up tractor...or two...or three! :)

My favorites as well. My 104 has a K 301 in it. So , is it a 104, a 124, or both? I just consider it a good running 104. Your fleet is looking sweet.

Chris

nice looking group you have there Tom

Nice herd. I would 2nd, 3rd... the bigger deck. I upgraded my sons 129 to the 50"C from the 42"A(?) and love it. I still have a 129/42" and I have to say the newer style 50C can cut/throw a lot more grass/leaves w/o clogging the chute. Obviously you get it done faster with the bigger deck, but you also get a deck that sticks out farther to get under trees and stuff

Thanks for all the replies, guys! That 124 is out there somewhere; remember, I live in a target-rich environment, so it's just a matter of time! The 105 was my 3rd Cub, but it brought the dreaded Yellow Fever with it and the rest is all downhill from there. They are the best looking series, IMHO. They epitomise 60's styling and durability...

105_Tom 04-15-2014 08:28 PM

I like the one in Dayton the best, but they are asking way too much for a non-runner!

Wow. Field of dreams, there...
