It's like a disease!

So yesterday, I took the aluminum rear end from my new 782 back to the guy I bought the tractor from, I wanted to swap it for the ci. Anyway went there to take something back, and ended up giving him over a hundred for some misc. parts that I wanted. I at least got me a 3-point to go on the 782, so in all it was a good day.

happens to me all the time lol.

i got 1/4 of the shop filled with cub cadets and parts.

It's a slippery slope :biggrin2:

Started out with a 125 with a 42" mower deck, front blade, QA-42 snow thrower , a set of chains and a Trac Vac. ( package deal )

Then I added lights. Then a spring assist. Weight for snow removal. A rear lift since I got a 1A tiller. Ag tires. Then I my friend gave me a 122 so now I had two. That needed a rebuild. Then lights. Another rear lift for the 122. I added both a IH and Brinly spring assist

Well at one time he had to break a hundred for me, then he's like well I know you at least have fifty more what else do you need. I kindly told him what I needed was to go. If I stayed much longer I'm sure I would have found other "crucial" items to buy.

My name is Sam, I'm a Cub addict. Welcome Sam :beer2:

imnotacollector 06-15-2014 11:02 AM

Oh good sir, I'm no addict. I can quit buying cubs anytime... I run out of money. :bigthink:
Well, maybe you have a point.

ACecil 06-15-2014 05:09 PM

You definitely have Yellow/Red Fever! :beerchug:

imnotacollector 06-15-2014 05:23 PM

Wouldn't it be great if women could catch it too. That would be a lot less explaining I'd have to do. Lol

My wife likes my cubs. She realizes how well built they are and are a good investment. ( unlike the throw away mowers at the box stores )

I made the mistake of buying a place that included an 1872 and now I have 4.

snoel 06-15-2014 08:44 PM

I've got one, and now, ...I want another! But I can resist. Because there's no loose money around our house for Cubs!

sawdustdad 06-15-2014 09:59 PM

I must have an acute case. 18 months ago, I had one (1) cub cadet.

Same here. My 147 had a 48" mower and a tiller mount on the rear. That warrantied me buying a snow blade, chains, weights, the bracket for the lift, a spring assist, a #2 cart for yard duties, new front tires, and putting in a garden to use Dad's #2 tiller just because I had the tiller mount. :biggrin2:

Funny enough, I had my lady sharing the seat/fender with my on the 149 today to drive her over to the neighbor's busted green mower so she could steer it home under cub power... She really seemed to enjoy it!

Other than that, she has not now, nor ever, expressed any interest... I think maybe I've started something! It could also be that she knows better than to fight city hall on these things...

Green light for yellow? :bigthink:
