CADplans 09-28-2014 11:57 PM

We get the "Kroger Discount",
I paid $2.64 on Friday ($0.30 discount)

Who knows!??

bocephus1991 09-29-2014 12:43 AM

$3.09 here in Jeff city.

mickb72 09-29-2014 08:34 AM

gas

Cheap gas ya, we have an election coming and then the Christmas buying season. Happens every year, goes up after turkey day. Mike

jimbob200521 09-29-2014 08:54 AM

We're down around $3.29 here, at least that's what I paid Friday to fill up. Much better than $3.79 we were at not too long ago.

DoubleO7 09-29-2014 09:01 AM

Was 3.19 two weeks ago.
Then jumped 10 cents for no apparent reason last week.

sawdustdad 09-29-2014 09:09 AM

Pre-election price drop. Every time. It'll be back up pretty quickly.

nikster 09-30-2014 06:54 AM

Keep the mass population happy, so you don't take out the incumbents. Keep them home so no frustrations are released at the voting booth. :bigthink:

Then after that, a wet fart will drive the prices UP.:beatdeadhorse:

Duh!

Nik,

SGragg 09-30-2014 08:04 AM

$2.93 yesterday in Blue Springs, MO.

Love the falling gas prices!

Bingo! :beatdeadhorse:

Nitro 09-30-2014 11:00 AM

Now tell me that they can't control the price.

PaulS 09-30-2014 06:08 PM

On my way home from Topeka I did pick up a load of that $2.96 gas just outside KC. For the most part Missouri has the lowest prices on gas from Kansas to PA. I got home and the lowest price here was $3.33.

Sam Mac 09-30-2014 06:39 PM

All the way down to $3.08 here in Galax VA. Goody, goody, goody! :beerchug:

green 4 acres 09-30-2014 09:41 PM

the station that had it at $2.96 then went to $3.08 today went back to $2.98
after other stations stayed at 2.96
We have a oil pipeline from houston to KC so our prices get low if the demand lowers

Cub Cadet 123 09-30-2014 11:13 PM

Not much of a relief here at $3.38. This dime here and nickel there isn't the relief that I think we need. If they find out you are saving money one way, they will raise something else to get twice as much back from you. Anyway, if I fill my tank and it is a dime cheaper per gallon, then I have only saved $2.50 total, less than the price of a sandwich at Madonna's.:bigthink:

I drive a diesel truck. You guys are all lucky. I paid $3.88 today. If I had filled it.... it's well over $100. I do get decent mileage though. (Compared to a gas motor truck of equal power, or at least as close as you can get with a gas motor.) :biggrin2: I'll still keep my diesel. :BlahBlah:

782CC 10-01-2014 12:36 PM

Even Diesel has dropped quite a bit. But you have to look around. Slow selling stations are still up. But I paid $3.43 this weekend going to the Cub-orama

R Bedell 10-01-2014 12:48 PM

Don't get too excited. This all maybe an "election ploy" and prices will return to regular rates come Nov 5th.

BTW....$3.40 here in Mid Michigan. I see no price drop.:bash2:

782CC 10-01-2014 02:01 PM

oh, I am with you guys, seen this election cycle way to many times in my life. The current leaders needed to have a low price to brag about. All I can do is enjoy what should be the norm while it lasts. :crap:

Cub Cadet 123 10-01-2014 06:44 PM

Just curious and I don't want to hitch hike, uh.....high jack this thread, but I wonder what the cheapest price anyone on the forum has paid for a gallon of gasoline? I paid $0.25/gallon during a Grand Opening Special at a local retailer but I had to wait in line for 1.5 hrs after midnight!

Cub Cadet 123

cadzag72 10-01-2014 07:54 PM

Best I ever paid was $.98/gallon back in 1999. Maybe that's why Prince wanted to party then :biggrin2:

Current price all over RI right now is 3.39, knock it up 10-15 cents if you want to go down by the coast.

Gas was $0.799/gallon when I started driving, diesel was about the same or a bit cheaper.

This past Friday I spent $73.00 filling 4 5 gallon cans with ethanol free gas. :bash2:

I remember 18 cents and 21 for hi test in my Roadrunner. I also remember cigs for $0.19 with a penny in the bottom of the pack. Mike:biggrin2:

Berwil 10-02-2014 09:25 AM

It was about $.99 a gal when I started driving. The cheapest I "paid" was $.85 a gal. This of course was my dad giving me the cash to go pay while he put the cans back in the truck and made sure the caps were on the tractor tanks. This was back when you could let your kids leave your sight and not be worried about their safety. And back when they used to let you pump first then pay....remember those days?

Bill

sawdustdad 10-02-2014 02:08 PM

It was $.16/gal when I started driving. Caused a recession when it went from $.25 to $.50 in 1973/4. On the other hand, I was making 1/10 of what I make now, so $3.00 today is cheap by comparison.

1974 I was 18 and just got a job at Mcdonnell Douglas Aircraft $5.02 an hour. I was making the big bucks then. 1977 I thought I might have to get a second job when gas went up to $1.00 a gallon.

R Bedell 10-02-2014 02:39 PM

Cheapest I remember was in my high school years (somewhere '67-69). I recall $.19 9/10

782CC 10-06-2014 07:08 PM

Sad that most remember prices that are below what the gov tax is now.

I mostly remember about 37-39 cents in 1972 filling up my dirt bike I was 13 .
but in 65 or 66 Dad bought it for 19 .9 in Arkansas and it was loaded with rust we barely made it home .
in Oct. of 03 it was $1.37 here I drove a 78 RV to the Florida keys

Cub Cadet 123 10-06-2014 10:11 PM

Guess we can truly say, "Do you remember when...." and "Remember the good ole' days...". Granted many other things have went up in price as well, it seems like we like to complain about the gasoline because we are burning our money up, literally, but isn't it fun and worth it when we are on a cub!! Now, the only chance for cheap gas is a can of beans and I am not so sure that is cheap anymore. Here's to the good ole' days: :beerchug:

Cheap gas is at every pump in the US, it's $8/gallon in Germany...

green 4 acres 11-26-2014 05:26 PM

It finnally hit 4 gals for a $10 here ...yeah :beer2:

green 4 acres 12-07-2014 12:57 PM

Some station had a promo price of 29 cents a while back around here, bet it was for an hour or such ...it was on the local news I 'll see if T can find it .
$2.38 at some stations now ..where I buy it maybe a bit cheaper a little out of town too

bolivier 12-07-2014 05:31 PM

It hit $1.99 here momentarily.

Sam Mac 12-07-2014 05:36 PM

$2.54 in Galax VA, this is killing my oil company stocks. I'll suck it up because it's good for the working men and women. :beerchug:

RedHawCadet 12-07-2014 05:43 PM

Yeah 2.58 here in northeast OH.

I'm happy to pump my gas considering that the other taxes here are so much less. :beerchug:
