New Front Bumper On The 1872

I really like the yellow front bumper on the 1872. Going to have the black one I had on it, redone to fit my 782.

Looks better yellow than black, may have to paint the one on my 2182 yellow. :beerchug:

Nice bumper, where did you get it from?

ACecil 10-29-2014 11:00 PM

Thanks guys.

Lew, I found it on Ebay.

bolivier 10-29-2014 11:19 PM

This is a newer bumper, correct. Not the exact same as the black one you had on first. Was it a direct bolt on?

Like this one???

Nice bumper Allen:beerchug:

Thanks guys.

Brent, it's the same bumper in the Ebay listing. I actually got it from that gentleman. It bolted right up to the 1872, and is exactly like the black one, that was on the 1872 before.

Bumper looks great ACecil

Thanks Diz!

Looks good Allen. I have to agree that the yellow looks better on the 1872. Can't wait to see the bumper on the 782. :beerchug:

It looks like it only can be used with the mule removed huh? It is a nice looking bumper. Is there one that will work with the mule in place?

Yep, the factory bumper fits with the Mule drive, here's one on Flea bay

It would need to be removed for a snow blower though.

PaulS 10-30-2014 08:06 PM

Yes the bumper has to be removed to install a snowblower but then again with the snow blower up front who needs a bumper.

Judging by the looks of my blowers, a couple of PO's could have used a bumper on the blower! :bash2:

Looks good AC! What color ya gonna paint the one for the 782?

ACecil 10-30-2014 10:55 PM

Thanks Todd. I'll may leave it black, but thinking about possibly painting it red.

Tacosteelersman 10-31-2014 06:48 AM

That yellow really sets it off. Looks good AC.

I looked at the ebay pictures but cannot tell how or where it attaches to the frame. Can someone help me with this?

Rudy

It fits flat against the front of the frame and is held in place by a bolt through the side of the frame. Here is a pic of one I had on a 1641

Looks like a Moose bumper for a Big truck like they run in Canada.

inspectorudy 11-03-2014 05:58 PM

Thanks Sam, that picture is great to explain how it fits on the frame.:beerchug:
