1862 getting parted out
Started disassembling the 1862 that I got from Andy2182 a few weeks ago. The rear 3 point, fender pan, hood and seat are off. Once I get it apart I'll clean the parts and take pics then list them in the for sale section. :beerchug:

Oh no!!!! My baby.....:Boohoo:
Hey, I could use that engine if some could talk me into saving my 2082. |

Hey Sam, will the plastic dash cover and the hydraulic lift handle be for sale? I'm in need of those parts...if so, would you please post some close-up pictures of each? Thank you.

Just my guess but I think Travis has other ideas for the 1862. I know he has a 22 HP V twin diesel looking for a home. That's all I'm gonna say. :biggrin2: |

Are you planning on selling the wheels and gas tank.
|
The whole thing is going to ShrewCub. I do have an extra gas tank that you can have. I'll give it to Travis to haul north. You and Travis can work out getting together. Johncub 7172 has a set of wheels for sale. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=36492
|
How much would you like for the other tank. Also how do I get a hold of Travis.
|
If you come up empty, I have wheels and tank.
Not trying to cut anyone out here but I have stuff I don't need. |

I'm between Manassas and Warrenton. What part of Pa? I usually go to Somerset atleast once a year?
|
I'm north of Harrisburg. Let me get my taxes done here this week because I am also interested in the rims you have for sale.

Shrewcub couldn't make it this weekend so the 1862 got moved to storage. I put the good gas tank and fender pan on it just to get the stuff out of my way. Got tired of having my lift tied up with this thing just sitting on it. :beerchug:
|
Sorry bout that, Sam! Be there Friday as long as I'm still breathing. :beerchug:
|
No problem it's not in my way and it can sit till your ready to pick it up. It's under cover so it's all good.
|
I'm sure both of you gentlemen would be nice to meet.:biggrin2:
|
It could be fun to setup a pool party for the guys in the area this coming summer. I know it's a bit of a ride Nick but who knows it may be good to get you off "The Island". Get a chance to visit the Blue Ridge mountains. You may decide to never go back to NY. I sure don't miss CT. :beerchug:

Well the 1862 is heading north as I type this. Shrewcub picked it up. Worked out well he backed his PU up to the lift table and we rolled it into the back of his truck. Cool guy looking forward to seeing what he has planned for it.
Oh yeah and for you guys in the snow belt it got up to 75 here today. I'm afraid I'm going to pay for the nice weather but for now I'll take it. |
Yes he is cool...Glad you guys has something in common.
Now I know who to look out for when I go to virginny to buy some cubs... |

like you, if I have it it's for sale for the right price. Take a look at my sig and let me know if anything floats your boat. Not on the sig but also for sale would be a 400 tiller and a 2182 with a Cat 0 3 point hitch. Also have a couple mower decks. :biggrin2: |

Had a great time meeting and BSing with Sam today! Got a couple other goodies in the truck too. I will say the pics don't do his place justice! Truly a beautiful place! Wish it had been 2 months from now, when it was greener. Although he has something else I may go back for. :biggrin2: Side Note: The FORD was trying to live up to it's name today (Found On Road DEAD). And it did for about 3 minutes on the side of 81 tonight. I think it's the fuel pump relay. It would miss for a second and cut out. I could cycle the key off and back on and keep going, never losing more than 20 mph. It did it 4 times in the last hour on the way down and 4 or 5 times on the way back. Last 1.5 hours were fine. One time around Roanoke just as a truck lane ended it didn't come back and there I sat for about 3-4 minutes. After that I was a right lane man. Ended up adding about an extra hour to my trip back ( made a couple extra stops just calm my nerves and keep the fuel level up). But it got the job done!:beer2: Here's a pic of the loading. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-h...208_143501.jpg |
Travis it was good meeting you yesterday. Glad you made it home. I was a little concerned when you told me about the truck cutting out on the way to my place.
Keep us posted on the 1862 becoming a 2262D. |
Will do, Sam.
I did stop at O'Reillys on the way out and picked up a FP relay and ignition switch for piece of mind, in case it left me sitting. |
Sam Mac how much are you asking for the tiller and 2182.
|
Not sure on the 2182 at the moment, just found out I need to replace the water pump on it. The Tiller $800.00 and it would be yours. 2182 will probably be around $2500 when it's all said and done.
|
Would it be possible to get pics of the tiller please.
