Truck full of Yellow/White/Rust

This has to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!! Were the last words I heard my wife say as I walked out the door. As I embarked on a 200 mile round trip to pick up a truck full of attachments. Well I am glad I brought the trailer just in case. :biggrin2:
I went for the tiller, plow, and chains. I came home with a tiller, plow, chains, 44" deck, and a three point that happened to be attached to a 129:biggrin2:

I made my offer of 5 Benjamen's and he excepted. I was told the 129 had a replacement engine and all the documentation came with it. I was also told it had not ran in over a year and he had no idea what was wrong with it.

Once home I spent about 30 minutes on it and had it running. I only ran it for a few seconds because he told me he drained the hydraulics because they were leaking on his garage floor.

Yes I know it has JD front wheels, but it came with the correct Cub wheels.

Really on the cart? So it is worth repairing? It has a little rot on the front seam that would not be to difficult to repair.

Nope no eyebrows.

Can't find deals like that in West KY. Around here they want $500 for the non-running 129.

That's about like here, these are hens teeth it seems. There are a couple of guys that are always on the look so it's tough to get stuff before they do. Not many snow blowers in Middle Tn for sure. Might get to use one once every 5 years, and that would be a 4-5" snow!

What a score!

PaulF 02-08-2015 10:36 PM

Richard, I see things are beginning to progress nicely! All signs indicate that you're just about full-blown infected...two or three more tractors and it'll level off. If your wife doesn't understand yet, it's ok...she'll come around :biggrin2:

The 129 and all the attachments look to be in above average condition, way to go

Shrewcub 02-08-2015 10:47 PM

Nice haul!!!

All I got was yellow rust! The white on the cyclops is plastic. :biggrin2:

Nice score
Next time you have to go 200 miles you should hook the trailer to the pickup. LOL :biggrin2:

Paul, It was hard to pass up the entire package. She is really good about it, what she did not know was I went with the idea of bringing it all home. The plan now is to sell the 127 since as you said the 129 and attachments are in above average condition. We (my son and I) are going to set the 149 up to be the worker and the 129 to do the yards. I like the idea of 2 cubs that can share one set of implements instead of 2 cubs and 2 sets of implements.

Terry, LOL the interstate part of the trip was a little sketchy :biggrin2:

Sam Mac 02-09-2015 09:07 AM

And it starts. Wait till you get like most of us, we just get a tractor for every attachment. I need more attachments. :biggrin2:

That makes the most sense if having a sizeable collection isn't practical. Is your son having as much fun as you seem to be? My boys enjoy taking Cub road trips and tinkering with them...hopefully you two are making the best of it.

Congrats again, please continue with the stories and pictures!

Randy Littrell 02-10-2015 07:45 PM

Richard, please don't take this personally.

But, you SUCK! :beerchug:

Ok, so I am kidding.........kinda.

Nice score!!

You have one more issue that you may not realize just yet, That is a to small of a trailer to hall everything in one trip issue! (which also leads into I need a bigger shed or garage issue) :bigthink: Enjoy the sickness, I do! :biggrin2:

I might have the trailer covered, as for the garage, 32' deep by 40' wide is now too small:bash2:
