Oh Goody, goody. Looks like I'll get some more practice with the plow. Weather guessers are calling for 3-6 tonight. Can't think of anything Id rather do. :bash2:

Your like me, I never complain about having to cut grass. Anytime I think, "Man I'm tired of cutting grass", I remember that I could be pushing snow.... Then I smile big, crack open another cold one, put my headphones on and enjoy the warm air and smell of freshly cut grass! :ThumbsUp:

I think they're calling for us to get some more tonight too......

So you get to get in on this one too! We've got a total of 2-6 projected between this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Seat time here we come! :biggrin2: :beerchug:

Edit: I still say get a Haban blade for one of your Supers, they are good fun to play with rather than get the big boy out for a mere couple inches!

I designate one for snow the 149. It probably mad cause it does all the work and still has to sleep in the cold garage and the others get to be where it's warm in the shop LOL

Yeah, I'm right in the 6-10 inches area.

It looks like we may get enough that I'll have to break out the Deere, the only thing with a blade.

That should be entertaining considering how messed up it was the other day around Winston with 1-2". You better go get Milk, Bread and Eggs now. :biggrin2:

He just had a few inches the other day. Now a few more on the way.

Luckily I'm in the dusting area on this one. We got above freezing today, now it's a snowy and muddy mess!!:bash2:

You guys can keep that crap down South!! I work for the city, the department responsible for snow removal. Weve had an average winter as far as snow fall but Im just done. Im so tired of going to work early and working on my days off and working back to back to back 12 hour shifts. The comp time is awesome but Im ready to mow the lawn and watch my son run around the baseball field!

The Orange tractor is all ready to go. For me being a Yankee I'm so used to the white crap it's like really 6" of snow and your in panic mode? Get a grip, move to Boston for a dose of reality. When it stops I'll fire up the weapon and Git Er Done. For now it's cocktail hour. :beerchug::beerchug::beerchug::biggrin2:

Pushing snow= seat time.
Mowing grass= seat time.

I see no negatives in this scenario.

Quit whining sam mac, even if seat time is on a Kubota.

Just came back from the store, it's all gone :Unknown:. Although, the expensive organic milk is still available. Moved here almost 3 years ago from Upstate NY, still don't understand why the rush for milk before a snow.

You sure after that many cocktails you won't be :beer2: rather than :beerchug:?

I lived in New England for 61 years, I get snow. I've dealt with 12' drifts. I've spent 14 hours running a loader with no cab digging out the town roads. I don't miss snow one bit. For you guys that get your jolly's plowing snow on a Cub all I can say is be Happy, happy, happy. BTDT. I'm gonna sit on my fat butt, wait till it's over make a pass down the drive, make a pass up the drive and be done. If I have a choice of seat time or sack time, I'll take sack time with my honey any time. :biggrin2:

The people who have never done this just don't understand. When I was a kid and we got dismissed from school for snow, we had well over 1000 head of hogs (probably closer to 1300) that needed tended to, and the barn was back a lane. All I can remember doing for days was taking a cab-less tractor and clearing snow at the farm, then having to clear the road on the way to the other farm to clear there. Help the township as much as we could, even loaning the big IH 3pt snowblower to them more than once so they could open the roads. Just to get up the next morning to the lane and roads drifted shut again. Snow sucks when you really have to deal with it. Sure, I enjoy seat time as much as anyone. But I'm with you Sam...... I just hate dealing with snow.

The Honey hates snow. She wants to be sitting next to the pool on a warm evening sipping on a cocktail as do I. :beerchug:

Edit: I've had all the fun I can stand for one day, see you guys tomorrow.

We have 3-4" on the ground so with it still going strong, we are looking at 6-8" tonight. We are lucky to get a snow like this once a year.

I don't have as much nasty snow time as some of you guys on here but I do have some "fond" memories. The farm I now work seasonally on, I used to put a lot more time in on. The boss man would go away to Hawaii or Europe or Jamaica or wherever he wanted to for the winter months and leave me to mind the homestead. I've spent my fair share of hours playing in the snow in a Case skid steer (similar to the one pictured below) with a "cab" but with how open it was, is that really a cab? :biggrin2: Along with that, I've spent even more time on a Ford 8600 loader moving snow. One year (before the 8600) I had to do the main farm with the Case, drive it a couple miles down the road to the other farm, clear that, and drive it back. Not a nice 30° day, but a subzero, windy as all get out day. THAT sucked. :bash2: I wish he would have gotten a nice big blade for his TG he had at the time, that would have been a sweet gig. But I digress. :beerchug:

I always find it interesting how they put a cute weather gal up there to give bad news......guess there is a storm in my heart for the weather girl!:biggrin2:

I would not mind some more snow, but like everything else in life. It is good in moderation.

You guys have fun and stay safe, me and my wife are spending a long weekend in Hatteras NC. High winds and rain right now but no snow to worry about. Time to get the fishing rod out and get a beach driving permit. These mid 30 temps don't feel bad compared to the -15 temps we had this week.

Well, got about 8 inches of snow here, struggled a bit with traction due to no chains but got it cleared off. That Mag 20 is a gas guzzler! It did the job though, getting chains for next year(yes, that's I said a week ago too, should have gotten them then).

Sam you live in a scenic place there, all I have out my front door is cornfields.

Snowing here lightly now. No accumulation to speak up. Just a dusting. We'll see how the day goes......

It looks great green. The view white isn't terrible. All I see out my front door is....more houses; durn suburb life. (could be worse)
