I have been looking at this site for years for info on differnt things just never joined. The info on here is great figured when we got the M&W I would join and share it. I am hoping geezer will chime in at some point on it

cubcadet 04-05-2015 09:19 AM

Very nice find, those are very hard to find.

Nice acquisition on the M&W. Geezer does not reside at this site. He is a Moderator on the site across the road. Super nice guy. Met him at a couple plow days. His M&W "Ted" that he used to own was a beautiful machine. Pictures did not do it justice. :beerchug:

Nice find! From the serial numbers found already, it appears they only made 100 or less of those. I'm sure some have been lost over the years, so very nice/rare snag. Hopefully everyone else at the auction didn't know what it was. :biggrin2: Welcome aboard. Where was the auction at if ya don't mind me asking?

If I was him I wouldn't say....... Do some research and see what they sell for. If he's smart he'll keep quiet or it will start a riot when he sells it for the "going rate". LOL.

A cub with loose steering is pretty scary at high speed. I once made the mistake of popping my old 126 out of gear on the hill coming down from my neighbors house, the 126 didn't have brakes and when I popped it out of gear it took off like a rocket. I was holding the wheel straight but the steering was so worn out I was going back and forth on the road about 3ft each way, to say the least I've never been so happy to get off a cub in my life.:biggrin2:

Nice find on the M&W I found #1076 on Evil Pay years back and built the tractor around it.Then it was too nice for me and I sold it to Geezer,I hear he sold it to some one in the northeast. The steering has to be tight it goes around 12mph in high 3rd.

MikeMasheris 04-08-2015 07:31 PM

It was too nice for me Geezer took it to a lot of shows so people could see it.I have a 3 digit #682 with rear PTO,wheel PTO,front PTO and the PTO clutch on the engine and creeper lights and fenders I have a hyd pump for it but have not put it on yet.Geezer was looking for one for a long time so I sold it to him.
