I messaged the guy, I can't make it until tomorrow but if it's still available I will be getting my hands on it :beerchug:

That'd be nice!! :biggrin2::beer2:

I caught it when it was posted "Just Now" and I immediately texted and called him but didn't get a hold of him so it's up to luck now. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :beerchug:

jimbob200521 06-12-2015 03:44 PM

My other problem would be I'd want to keep it but then GOOD LUCK finding a PTO for one of my machines...unless...yep, excuse to get another Cub :biggrin2:

jimbob200521 06-12-2015 04:23 PM

Well good news! I heard back from the guy and unless he sells it out from under me, I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. Funny how things work out.

Now all I need to do is erase any trace of this ad from this site so when I eventually post it for sale y'all won't know what I paid for it :biggrin2:

It actually worked out because I don't get off work for a couple hours and he is just going into work, he works 2nd shift so he can't do anything until tomorrow anyway. I plan on going tomorrow morning and I'm first in line so let's hope he's a decent guy!

If I find you one, do I have to buy it and deliver it as well? Because I can FIND one, that I'm sure of :biggrin2:

Now you only need a $2000 tractor to run it LOl:biggrin2:

DoubleO7 06-13-2015 05:47 PM

At that price, I hope nothing was busted!

jimbob200521 06-13-2015 08:34 PM

Well gentlemen, here she is in all her glory. Overall good shape, paint is near excellent with little rust. Gearbox oil looks good and spins freely. The only "issue" I see with it is a couple dents from (I'm guessing) hitting some big stuff with it. He also started to convert it to Cat1 3pt (as pictured below) but stopped once he realized the PTO spun reverse 2000rpm. Good guy and good day to Cub :beerchug:

Congrats on a killer deal! :beerchug:

Oak 06-14-2015 08:12 AM

WOW Ryan, you got an awesome deal! That one is in great shape too. I think I have the manual in PDF that I got from another member if you need it. What are your plans to do with it?

Todd

Just guessing but I bet Ryan would sell it to you. Don't think he has a tractor with a rear PTO because some guy in GA has been hording them. :biggrin2:

Oak 06-14-2015 11:21 AM

Sounds good to me....how much Ryan?:beerchug:

Alvy 06-14-2015 11:55 AM

I think I've seen a thread on one of these in the past. Looks like he got it for half price? Looks good Ryan

DoubleO7 06-14-2015 02:43 PM

Did you buy some lotto tickets too after you picked it up?

darkminion_17 06-14-2015 10:26 PM

Nice snag Ryan,I would keep it,you have very little in it,cause you never know you may find a tractor to put it on,then you will kick yourself for selling it so soon...

J-Mech 06-14-2015 11:42 PM

I'm with Lew on this one. I too would keep it for a while.

I know I told you already, but congrats! :beerchug:

Nah Todd,
You're too far away and already have one don't ya? :biggrin2:

Now me on the other hand, only a little over an hour away. :biggrin2:

jimbob200521 06-15-2015 12:29 AM

I see the interested parties have made themselves known :biggrin2:

First off, the Cub voice in my head say "hang on to this until you can use it or you're six foot under" and I know it's a good decision to keep it.

That being said, in all honesty, I'd LOVE to keep it. It's neat, in good condition, and would be handy to have around, should I ever get lucky and strike gold again and find a machine with a PTO. But I'd rather it go to someone who can use it. I got it figuring I'd sell it and (at the risk of being banned and ostracized) I believe I am going to stick to that plan.

I've had a good amount of people already express their interest which is why I'm posting now, most of them are from here. For those interested, PM and and we can talk. But I'll be upfront about it, I am going to try to do it local before I explore shipping it. I'm willing to drive and meet up within reason. This isn't meant to be a For Sale post, just making sure everyone knows where I stand on this so I don't upset anyone :beerchug:

Ryan, I have one and mine has been in the back of my truck in the garage for 3 years now. I don't plan on using it, but someday I will show it behind a 982. I wonder if someone can remake the decals? Mine has a little surface rust and the chains have been replaced but it's original paint like yours and I don't want to paint it. It's only original once.
