WHOOOHOOO!! Just got back from looking at a cub cadet 73. This is it I put $90.00 down on it because another guy was looking at it earlier. I will keep you guys posted :biggrin2:

sorry about the misunderstanding. I did not just pay $90.00. I got it for $450.00 the $90.00 dollars was to hold it because there was another guy looking at it.

Great find. I have its older brother, the 72, and I'll vouch that it's my favorite. You're going to have a ball with it.

I am looking at a sleeve hitch from a cub cadet original. Would it work on my 1970 model 73 or will I need to make adapters.

Also, the dual wheel that were on it had no spacers. can any one give me some tips on making them?

No, you can't use the sleeve hitch from an O it' won't work. Need to find one for a NF.

There are guys who build the dual wheel spacers.

I recommend xtrememotorworks for the spacers. Don't spend too much time there though, you'll find all kinds of other toys you'll want there! Seriously though, their customer service is top notch.

What was the difference between the sleeve hitches? could it be modified to fit the newer tractor?

This is the hitch. The top mount is a separate bolt on mount. On my tractor it would go in the channel of the frame. could the (for lack of a better term) pin holder or pin lifter from the original fit in the channel of my tractors frame?

The "O"s sleeve hitch was made completely different. The "arm" on it angled up, whereas all others came down. Sleeve hitches aren't all that hard to come by at all. Put up an ad in our "Wanted" section or check with the sponsors above.
