Next time I hear about "Global Warming" I'm gonna kill someone, 41 here this AM and my pool has cooled off 12 degrees in 2 days. I'm not a happy camper. :BB&YS:

Jeff in Pa 09-14-2015 08:34 PM

The new catch phrase is "climate change".

Next time somebody starts preaching on that, I'm sticking a broom up their south side when they're looking north so they can multitask

Yeah, no kidding. And a pool boy, servant to serve his cocktails... WTHeck:bigthink:

Second year in a row that Mid Michigan has had a temperature below the normal average. Only two days for the 2015 summer that it actually hit 90°. It sure put a dampening effect on the A/C service these past two years. :Cry1:

I'm thinking about a heater and a Hottie to serve cocktails. Not sure the wife would go along with the Hottie part. :biggrin2:

j4c11 09-15-2015 08:13 AM

I for one welcome the cooler weather. Just seeded last week and keeping 10,000 sq feet of seed moist in 89 degree weather with no irrigation system is a huge PITA.

olds45512 09-15-2015 08:40 AM

Got down to 42 here last night, we had to run the heaters in the kids rooms. On the plus side since I'm mowing with the 1440 I can go ahead and mount the plow on the 108 and be ready for snow earlier than I've ever been.

Thats where the pool boy comes into play- to keep her occupied so she dont notice the the "HOTTIE" in the string bikini and fuzzie ear muffs!!

My wife actually turned the furnace on this morning before getting ready for work!! And left me a note telling me to pick up the woodstove pipe i need to get that up and running. But that professional liar on tv last night said its suppost to be in mid to high 70's today??
Just in the past 3 dats i have noticed a huge change in leaf color and they are falling pretty quick already. May have to do with how dry it has been here but still not ready for this crap!!

olds45512 09-15-2015 08:55 AM

I mowed last night and my yard was full of leaves, fortunately the 1440 mulched them up into nothing so I didn't have to use the lawn sweeper.

When I was a kid they always said an ice age was coming, I believe back then it was blamed on aerosol cans of hair spray etc...was gonna be ice all over Europe and starvation by the 1980s-90s. I guess when that didn't happen they changed their minds and forecast global warming instead...

Are you accusing the government of lying? They would never do that, the government is always honest with the people and Barack Obama is the best president ever.:ROTF1:

Just hope hell don't freeze over in the next election...
Weather has been great, 80's during the day and upper 40's to 50's at night. Isn't much good for hunting, but we can do that in the winter. Could stay like this till Christmas, get a couple inches of snow, then warm up:beerchug:

kyleb179 09-16-2015 06:26 AM

I am happy is has rained a few days in the last week, after a 3-4 week dry spell, i can now mow my lawn! :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

jkier 09-16-2015 07:10 AM

Since I have two 125's, the hydraulic lift one still has the QA-42, chains and loaded tires on it from last year. :biggrin2:

cadzag72 09-16-2015 09:35 PM

Might have been me, Sam, trying to get my thrower fixed. If it's any consolation, I still haven't gotten to it!

Put a tarp over it and use a torpedo heater to warm it up like they do for football fields.:biggrin2:

OldSkull 09-17-2015 05:43 PM

I'm a bit closer to the North pole then most of you and I enjoy a nice and warn 84F today, they predict the same for tomorrow and Saturday. but for the next Sunday only 66F! Time to store the camping trailer and prep the snow fighting platoon.

We had kind of a funny weather thing here just S of K C a week ago friday at 6 pm the local news was giving the weather and there were some rain clouds off to the west moving east . the gay( thought l,d throw that in) weather guy , he is supposed to be the best in town , was saying there could be some thunder and lightning but nothing very big then the weather service broke in with a tornado warning a confirmed tornado on the ground

Sam Mac 09-29-2015 06:25 PM

Wow the Sun is out for the first time in days, but we are supposed to get more rain. We have only gotten about 6" in the last few days. I need to buy a freckin boat. :beerchug:

twoton 09-29-2015 08:19 PM

One of the driest summers we've had in my memory, not more than a couple of inches of rain in the past 5 months. And most of that came in one fast moving storm that lasted about 4 hours back in July. All came to an end today with rain forecast through Sunday.

Weather is strange, it was one wet July here, last two weeks and first week of August I had 15+ inches of rain, prob more but I just gave up emptying the rain guage. It came down 7in at once then some smaller ones

Sam Mac 09-30-2015 07:40 AM

Well with the exception of yesterday , Sept 30th it has been raining since Sept. the 24th. tomorrow we are supposed to get 5-8" more. Not sure the dam on my little pond can handle that much more. Just hope it holds up or I may be in deep S--t. :beatdeadhorse:

Can you siphon out some of the water that is in there now? Use your pool vacuum hose, fill it with water, you know the drill....

R Bedell 10-02-2015 05:56 AM

Is this hurricane Joaquin going to impact you..?? :HeadScratch:

The pool hose is way too small to do any good, but thanks for the idea.

Roland

The hurricane is not the big problem. Just a lingering rain storm that is just sitting over us and dumping on us. Weather report this AM looks a little better.

johns cubs 10-02-2015 09:20 AM

Good luck to ya Sam!

Steve149 10-02-2015 01:41 PM

Lets hope this Hurricane goes east and not add more insult to injury!

Good Luck Sam!!!!
