New Cub Owner
Hi everyone,
Sam here, from Western N.C. I just purchased my first Cub Cadet (122 model) over the weekend. I was in the market for a good solid Garden Tractor to use around the homestead and for gardening and there was one on Craigslist that fit the bill. The previous owner is a fellow member on OCC as well--he pointed me this way, but I had already learned to come here while researching if this was a good purchase for me and for comparing models, etc. ;) I was lucky enough to get a package deal:
Here are some photos of the 122, taken early in the morning as I was tackling some chores around the place and looking for reasons to drive it around the property. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psfkxipudj.jpg http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psmoicsyua.jpg |
Looks like a worker. Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Welcome to occ, that's a good looking tractor with some nice options. Congrats:beerchug:

Welcome! You've got some nice accessories there!

Very nice find.:beerchug:

Thanks guys. I'm planning to clean it up this weekend if the weather warms up enough, and I've got a charging problem to track down (Going to follow the S/G Charging Test post by R Bedell) too. But I'm happy to have it and it sure beats the pants off my other machines--nice to have a workhorse that is willing and made to work. :)

Welcome to OCC! Glad to see anther NC member.

Okay... I'm having issues :BangPC: For the life of me, I cannot seem to get my images to link into my replies correctly. I have them uploaded to online photo sharing sites (Dropbox & Flickr), and use the HTML script code of "[IMG]link here[/IMG]", but it doesn't show the image. I see where I could upload a photo, but the size limitations seems too small for modern use.
How do you all upload or link to your photos of items? Thanks! |
Try this...... Image Guidelines
|
I can upload an image as an attachment okay, but I cannot get the "[IMG][/IMG]" to work. It shows up in a post as a broken image link. I'll put a photo I'm trying to post elsewhere below so you can see it. It is 450x412px in width/height and is 27 kb in size.

Must be something on your end. People upload images here every day.

Welcome to OCC! When I add a picture, I click the paper clip to open the upload popup. Then I choose a picture from my phone or computer and click upload, no resizing, compressing, nothing. It takes a sec and magically resizes itself. It made This 2mb cellphone pic 22kb automatically.

Thanks! I'm testing that workflow on this post. Other forums I've been on do not auto-resize so I was not expecting OCC to. Thanks again.

I see a very chilly Cadet in that last post, must have got the pics working!
|
Nice 122, welcome to OCC :beerchug:

Nice 122 with cool options and implements! Where about western NC are you? I've spent a lot of time around and in pisgah national forest working on cabins and having a lot of fun
|
Thanks guys, I'm happy with it to say the least. :)

Replying in regards to my image posting issues, should anyone run across this thread from a search, and to complete the information loop. After some research of other images on here, there is a slight difference in the HTML syntax to get it to work (at least for me). I use OCC from a variety of platforms (Windows, Mac, & iOS) and have found this to be my only "fix".
http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psy5zyn1iq.png Using the paperclip icon and uploading the photo as an attachment inserts the photo at the end of a post and in a box of its own. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psodjtqcgp.png Clicking the yellowish photo icon and entering the image URL in the popup window only displays a broken photo link image, and not my image (again, for me). I found the below code to work for embedding images into a post and retaining their position in line should you want text above and below the image. Yes, your image's URL will be entered twice... once for the image, once for the URL link. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psphgppiv0.png I have found that photobucket writes in this syntax natively, when you copy the "IMG" code under the "Share This Photo" section of the website. Hope this helps! |
When I post a picture, I click "Post Reply" under the last post of a thread.
Then I scroll down to and click "Manage Attachments". A pop up will come up and in it I click "Choose File". Another pop up, in it I find the pic I want to attach and double click it. Set of numbers/letters show up in the "Manage Attachments" pop up box next to where I clicked "Choose File". Then I click "Upload". The little thing in the corner goes round and round for a bit. When it stops, there is a number in the space that says "Current Attachments" and the same number shows up in the original "Manage Attachments" space in the thread. Then click "Submit Reply" Wow that sounds like a lot... Not really all that bad though. |
The reason your image didn't work is because it wasn't a direct link to the image, it was a link to the dropbox share page.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s1e1nxj5os...kshop.jpg?dl=0 In order for the IMG tag to work, it needs to be a direct link to the image. I'm not familiar with dropbox, but in other systems it would be called an embed link. You do not need both the URL and IMG tags, the URL tag simply makes is clickable. |
