This Country is Screwed.

This is what our "Fair Share" of taxes has educated. I give up.

Pitiful, reminds me of one time they interviewed people on the street and asked them if we should pull our troops out of provolone. Morons :biggrin2:

Cubcrazy 01-09-2016 05:06 PM

Wonder how many were college educated?! :biggrin2:

john hall 01-09-2016 05:12 PM

That is EXACTLY why we need to raise the voting age to 25. But hey, they can do crap with their phone that we will never figure out! Maybe as soon as they get a mortgage, 2 car loans and some kids in diapers, they will get a clue!

Nope, they will think that they are "Entitled to Free Stuff" .

The scary part is they sounded a little bit educated. Maybe that's the problem, it was only a little bit! Its OK, Dennis Rodman will be along soon to go calm them down. Strange enough he seems to carry more clout than anyone in our government. Then again, looking at the clowns in DC, the clown prince of the NBA is probably more qualified. At least he earned his money!

DeltaCub 01-09-2016 06:05 PM

Sad, truly sad! Judge Judy once said "Beauty fades, dumb is forever!"

More people to bull-doze with the Cub Cadet.

For a glimpse of the future, watch the movie "Idiocracy". Luke Wilson (a man of average intelligence) wakes up 500 years in the future and is the smartest man in the world. The world continued to get dumber and dumber which is where we're headed.

j4c11 01-09-2016 07:37 PM

It's a TV show though, a big search for sensationalism, they're only showing the dumb ones. They may have interviewed 100 others that had different opinions and never made it on air. I hear this all the time from folks in their 50s and 60s about how irresponsible and dumb the young people are, and how they're going to ruin the country, but they're the ones who are leaving those kids with 18 trillion in debt, it happened under their watch. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic :beerchug:

Point well taken, just want to add that I know how much I've paid, and trust me it was considerably more than my "Fair Share" so I'm not one that has put the Country 18 Trillion in debt. I would offer that the low life lying stealing politicians that have promised "Free Ice Cream" if you vote for me and the lazy sit on there butts and do nothing Americans are the problem. Rant Over. :BB&YS:

OK I'm pretty sure I've broken the rules as far as "Political Comments" so I'm done. Sorry I'm just in a PO'd mood today.

Totally agree, and know exactly what you mean. I calculated 50% of my income goes towards the government between federal taxes state taxes sales taxes etc. I work January through June just to pay the government. Most of it goes into the pockets of people who just don't want to work :bash2:

Vehicles are a poor investment. Real estate is a different story.
I didn't watch the video, but I have a feeling I know how bad it is.
Raising the voting age won't help anything, unless we have have voters that give a hoot about their voting power and where this country is headed.

50 + years of dumbing down americans through better education !!

You guys are actually believing that little skit is legit? That would sure make me to say WOW, more so than the stupidity of the skit.

Comedy guys, from a comedy show. Holy cow. Some of you guys are needing to get laid or something.

Okay I'll go along with part of that.:beerchug:
But it's all some scary stuff, regardless of a comedy show or not, these are the people that are going to be in charge of taking care of us in our darkest moments...
I'm locked and loaded. When the day comes that the family wants to take me for a ride into town and look at some "nice" places to consider living in, I'm pulling the trigger...

I'm thought it was made up with editing and voice overs till near the end. WOW! Uniformed, lacking common sense, liberal idiots! I will also agree that not all younger people are like this, but quite a few are. Everyone's all PC and oh you hurt my feelings, don't say anything controversial or speak your mind. Bunch of bs!

Yep, and with the new expanded gun verbage this week they are going to get your 2nd amendment by useing and taking your 1st amendment! Mike

spudder 01-10-2016 04:31 PM

Maybe that was staged, but I doubt it. You see some of the same type of uninformed morons on other TV interviews. Pretty sad, when people can't recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
It makes me sick that people are so ignorant to the world around them. Our enemies are liking what is happening here.
History is destined to repeat itself when people fail to be involved and informed.

Sam Mac 01-10-2016 04:55 PM

I have a step daughter that thinks she is entitled to a free ride just because she lives and breaths. Not a clue about anything going on in the world, state or town. Has no desire to get a job and thinks mommy will always take care of her. She is about to get a rude awakening. The evil step dad has had enough.

Amen ! Too much of this going on in the country as well

Sam Mac 01-10-2016 05:53 PM

Come the 15th unless she has the $$$ to pay for her car insurance she can start walking. Should be fun to see the tears. OMG how do you expect me to get a job if I don't have a car, well you haven't found a job in 4 years so why would I expect things to change now?

ol'George 01-10-2016 05:55 PM

Years from now she will thank you for not being an "enabler" :beerchug:

Shotgun Wedding 01-10-2016 06:11 PM

But someone enables this. Her mother, an over 50 woman more than likely. I'm not of this girls generation, I'm 50 and come from different reality but these kids are a product of my generation, your generation, our generation. It's us that are to blame for this. Us and us alone.

All this liberal talk is a joke. Blame yourselves for God sakes.
Hate these political rants. They are such bs. Bunch of finger pointers that never ever ever blame themselves.

Sam Mac 01-10-2016 07:21 PM

Shotgun

I have to agree with most of what you have said. I know that when I was a kid my dad made it clear that I should not expect a free ride. I got it and what I have today I earned. My wife on the other hand has tried to make life easy for her kids and the results have to say the least not turned out well. That said it's now $$$$ that I have worked for and saved and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for the wife's kids to have a free ride. Party is over. :bash2:

ol'George 01-10-2016 07:39 PM

My 3 are successful
They learned early-on nothing is for free.
Work pays.
Education pays better.
1 Nurse
1 Engineer
1 EMT/Educator
I did my part, now they are doing theirs.
A pat on the back, hard enough, low enough, and often enough, never hurt any child.
Also, understanding & compassion applied @ the proper times helps.
We actually ate meals & talked to each other daily.
Well I'll stop there no sense :beatdeadhorse:

64fleetside 01-10-2016 07:58 PM

Its true, Ive dealt with the public. The 20 yr old kid I work with had no idea what Pearl Harbor day was and his dad is retired air force.

I did not see this but I know out of the five days a week I work one day of work is for taxes. Can't tolerate people in America who think they don't have to work or this govermet who supports illegal aliens to remain with out working and paying taxes. There are no slackers in my family.

zippy1 01-11-2016 01:00 AM

As Shotgun mentioned, part of it is our fault. Not mine but someones. When I was 13 years old I worked all summer long custom bailing hay for a guy, and when I wasn't doing that I was working on our farm. And that I didn't get paid for because I ate food and had clothing on my back...
When I was 15 I/ME had saved enough money that I/ME earned working to buy my first car, and all this was taught to me by my parents. If you want something go out and earn it...
Cold day in hell my old man was going to buy me something I didn't need. His father did it to him, and my father did it to me. Made us work. There isn't a kid in a five mile radius around here that will help out a neighbor for nothing, and they sure aren't going to do it for chump change...
Why should they? Mommy and daddy will buy them their $200-$400 telephone and pay for their monthly plan. Kids got it made, then go off to school and still have mommy and daddy paying their way. The wife's three out of four kids put themselves through school, and the other one went into the service to learn.
They aren't touched in the head like the ones you see on the street talking out their backside and don't have a clue because someone fed them with a silver spoon. That's what pisses me off, parents don't want to teach the kid so they give them everything to keep the kids out of their hair. New phones, Ipads, video games...
NO self worth. If they had to buy all this stuff themselves to keep up with their "friend" they'd have more pride in it... Just my rambling--- way off the subject, but I guess I was going off Sam's comments... Sad but true.
It was talked about not knowing the pledge of allegiance, it's because the teachers aren't teaching OR aren't allowed to teach the kids what's important here in the good ole USA. Makes me sick to my stomach.
Ramble done, I will be expecting my dis missile papers tomorrow.:biggrin2:

That's actually quite low. Have you added in your state tax, sales tax, property taxes, car registration, fuel tax etc? :bash2:

Damn right. You had great parents like most of us on this site have had. But lots of people my age made horrible parents, just horrible. I am first generation born in Canada from my Dutch immigrant parents. My parents worked, had little but worked. They passed that on to me and my brother, who without bragging are very successful but work out butts off.

That is not true for so many. But this is. These parents are losers. Apparently it's pretty easy to have kids, pretty damn hard to raise them. But it's not the governments fault, it's our generation. Our neighbours, friends etc.

Can we blame the government for feeding them? Maybe. But I'd hate to have these shmucks breaking into my property to steal my stuff every time they want a hit of meth. Anyway, this ain't going to solved without involuntary sterilization! Just sayin.
