What did you do to your Cub today?
1 Attachment(s)
Since we have a thread about what you did with your cub today I thought I'd start a thread about what you did to your cub today.
I worked on getting the engine mounted in the 1282 and when I got home my son wanted to play outside so while he ran around I spent some time polishing the 108 and 1211 so they look top notch for plow day Saturday. |
I had some time this morning so I pulled a troublesome ignition out of my 149 and ordered a replacement from one of our sponsors.:biggrin2:
|
Changed oil and sharpened the blades on my 2072. Also greased it, changed air filter and gauged the tires. Tightned the alum block on the side of the engine where the lines for the remote filter hook up--hopefully this is was the cause of my oil leak.

Put new coil, condenser, points, and plug wire on the 100.
Took the non-IH exaust pipe off the 982 and prepped the orgional pipes and shields for paint. Took the plow off the 782 cause it was taking up too much room. |
I changed a front light on the 1512,
Though it would be a bright idea! |
I walked by them in the garage, hauled off an old water softener! Lol
|
I got my new original running.:biggrin2:
|
Got a new exhaust and deck belt, still running great, but then again, when doesn't a cub run great?
|
Burned some diesel fuel with it, mowing grass!
|
I worked at removing the hot rod flames off the side panels of the 1050. Ordered trunion springs and a hydro line for the 1862 I have stripped down.
|
Yesterday
Mowed grass added oil (got a 80-20 engine. burns 80% gasoline 20% oil) Added air in front tires. It was a good day. |

Not technically a cub but I finally remembered to bring home an impact so I could get the blade off my IH push mower so I could finally get the engine apart, the bottom crank bushing is worn out and the crank moves around.
|
Good work Tim!
|
Pulled the blades off the zero turn and turned them around. The boy sharpened the blades last week and got them on upside down. I am sure it looked right from underneath!!
I did get on the Original and drive around the shop. Just because! Randy |

I pulled the fenders off the 1211 so I can access the leaking auto valve and to make room to install the dual hydrualics.
|
Very nice Tim, looking good!:beerchug:

Pulled the broken engine mount bolt out of the 1200.
Put wing nut on my 149 air filter, the PO had a nut on there. Ordered a new spark plug, wire, air filter and fuel line for the 149. Also found a muffler mount / heat shield online and ordered it. Still looking for a pressure line. |
I took the blower off the 125http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...7/IMG_0950.jpg
Then i changed the oil in ithttp://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...0297/125-5.jpg The 38" deck is on and we mowed.....http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...0297/125-1.jpg |
Good looking 125!

Got my 126 project finished just in time for the 4th of July parade
|
Looks great, congrats.:beerchug:

Had some noise come out from under deck when mowing with the 125.... found that one of blades was loose AGAIN. Pulled the deck to see why it's happening. Seems as if the spindle was a PO repair with some welding. Had another spindle on hand and changed it. Also sharpen the blades. Mowed for three hours this afternoon.

Watched the kiddo participate in a junior tractor pull. A gentleman brought out his cub and let kids crawl down the track pulling a sled before the mini rods started. Smiles ear to ear!
|
Working on new mower deck wheels. Bearing exploded on one of them.

Ran some fuel lines and installed some gauges. Waiting on radiator and fan to finish diesel install. Next new hydraulic system
|
Interesting flying tractor you got on the ceiling there..... what is the engine?
|
Don't quiet understand that posted upside down...... last picture was fine. Lol. Just a kubota z482. Fits well in the frame with little modifying here and there. Free running diesel I figured what did I have to loose.
|
1650
Sprayed a little 935 Iron gard on the White parts. Unfortunately no pics. I just painted the backsides of everything for now. Looks like a little wet sanding later when it all cures out.
|
Pulled the old hydraulic line off the 149. Pulled the PTO and disassembled it.
Getting ready to order some parts to fix the PTO and hook up the new (old) hydraulic line. Also got the driveline for the 1200 put back together. Hopefully I'll get it installed next weekend. |
