Welcome to OCC. I'm in Galax, about 130 miles from you. Used to own a quarry in CT before I retired and moved south. I do know what a D11 is. Played with one at the Cat proving grounds about 25 years ago. Owned a few 980C loaders.

Your 782D was built in either 84 or 85.

Hope its ok to post these pics her.... If I can pull this off !! Both of these mowers are very Barn Fresh... Not even washed the dirt off yet... I did crank and drive the one with the blade

ksturgill 05-26-2016 11:04 AM

the blade bearing... pic... is what the Diesel needs !! Can I find those ?

ksturgill 05-26-2016 11:05 AM

And sorry bout the walk behind pic... That's what I mow with !! :bash:

olds45512 05-26-2016 01:32 PM

The yellow cub appears to be a model 100 with fenders off a 122 and hood decals from a 108/9, congrats on the diesel.

ksturgill 05-26-2016 01:42 PM

I have the deck off the 100 as well... but I will never use it !!! I blade on there will come in handy I hope !

ksturgill 05-26-2016 03:36 PM

One of the pics is of a blade bearing... Can I still get those ????? Best I can tell that's the only reason the man parked this mower !! The deck is laying in the building with the mower and two of the bearings are out of it !!! The man that owned the mower was the Vet here in town and he passed away about three months ago !! His wife says when the deck went down he went and bought a Dixon mower that she is still using... Said the diesel hadn't been cranked in 4 or 5 years !!! I think all I need is bearings for the deck !! :bigthink:

Sam Mac 05-26-2016 04:05 PM

No problem replacing the deck bearings. Post this question in the implements section. There is currently a thread going about the very same thing. Cool thing about Cubs is that you can get just about every part need to keep them going even back to the very first Cub. Any of the 1996 or older Cubs were built to be rebuildable.

Here is the thread about the deck bearings.
